All of the anti-China traitors in my home city will soon be locked in cells for the rest of their miserable lives. Bring on the national security law.
In East Asia, people wear masks while in public, which is a big reason why there are so few deaths in the region. Along with early contact tracing and mass community testing.
Masks are not for protecting yourself (hand washing does that), it's mainly for protecting other people from you.
A good strategy that does not work, is not a good strategy. Take a look at how the countries of East Asia handled it, or New Zealand or Australia.
But why take care of it, when he can just call it the "Kung Flu" while Asian Americans are getting attacked on the street for the colour of their skin?
I just got a bit tired of all the constant arguments here, I'm not an argumentative person by nature. Also I was extremely frustrated and even embarassed by the riots in my hometown HK.
I'm going to avoid most of the arguments this time around though. Hopefully.
Sad to hear that. No matter how much one may disagree with the foreign policy of other countries, innocent civilians should always be kept out of harms way.
Not sure, but I know that both the Mainland and HK government are set on it, nothing can get in the way, the mechanism for implementing it is already written into the Basic Law.
The Mainland held off on it because they thought we might end up like Macau, but a large proportion of my fellow Hong...
The HK riots were one of the reasons I didn't come back, I was incredibly frustrated at how my hometown could end up like that. But there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, for us that is taking shape in the form of a new security law. I'm sure other great things will happen for my city...
I'm not an argumentative person, I can't stand getting into so many arguments online, I guess @TaiShang was the same way as me.
But it looks much better now, much of the anti-China crowd have left the forum, might be able to stomach it this time.
India can't afford to go back into lockdown with much of its population relying on daily wages, they need to sort this situation out right now before it becomes a real catastrophe.
Good to see you again brother! :partay:
I just got a bit tired of all the arguments here, this time I'm going to try and avoid arguments if possible. I'll try and see how long I can manage to do that.
You are right, economic development is the priority for all of us. The global economy is not a zero-sum game, in this inter-connected world we can (and should) all be growing together.
