She might have brought have secession on a couple of issues, but in general I believe she doesn't do a bad job voicing her concerns over issues that are sometimes ignored by the mainstream media or the general public. We sometimes need people like her to remind us about the wrongs in some part...

That responsibility that you talk about is a subjective thing. What you may feel is your responsibility towards your country or its people may not be shared in the same way by another. Clearly Ms. Roy differs in what she feels is her responsibility.

Under the same democracy, she has a right to speak her mind. She doesn't need to fight any election. And as Jack Sparrow mentioned above, its our right to reject or accept her opinions.

I wont have wasted my 10 minutes of writing that post if not for the senior members behind the OP. If it were a newbie I would have let it go and expected them to educate themselves. In this case I thought I should for what its worth.

Maybe it is, but what amazes me is why would Pakistanis here be so worried about it? Clearly, apart from the Samjhouta blasts (that too on our soil), this hasnt affected your country. Nor have Indian Muslims gone running to the press asking for asylum in Pakistan. We have aggrieved communities...

No offence, but for that huge a number, it would have made better economic sense from a long term perspective to set up a JV with a local manufacturer rather than import them. If there isn't any capable local manufacturer, the Chinese company can be provided incentives to set up a local unit.
