Pakistan isn’t banana republic, it’s absurdistan

I answered everything you asked. The problem is that he can talk politely while you can't. I am sorry but I can't keep repeating it again and again. Yes I did and I told you why they were deleted. One sided personal attacks are sufficient grounds for deletion of posts. Moderators will confirm...

PIA’s financial losses mount to $4 billion

Do you know that during lunch or dinner, the PIA staff actually makes surplus food so that the employees can take it home, to their family? They aren't supposed to, they aren't some laborer working on PKR 12,000- 15,000 a month to resort to such things. These guys buy spares for the aircraft...

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

I know. I would really like for the quality of posts to improve in this forum, because lately whenever I log in. Most of the posts I see are one liners, troll, flame baits e.t.c and nothing worthy of reading. And unfortunately, those are the ones getting the most of the likes thus encouraging...

Pakistan isn’t banana republic, it’s absurdistan

See, still the same response over and over. I don't expect you to support anyone. I don't expect you to whole-heartedly agree with anyone. I just expect you to express your disagreement and displeasure constructively, positively and with basic human decency. Not much to ask, is it now? I cherish...

Pakistan isn’t banana republic, it’s absurdistan

Forget my tunnel vision, for a second. Compare your posts. His and yours. And check yourself, who's made more posts of value. And by value and positive, I mean posts which express ideas, criticize, explain or define. Making positive posts doesn't mean distorting reality, suppressing facts just...

Pakistan isn’t banana republic, it’s absurdistan

Ask yourself, why only Nawaz Sharif & Co and why now? I, myself was very happy when the court's decision came. I deluded myself that this was the start of a new era, one in which everybody will now be held accountable for his/her action or inaction or both. That maybe long awaited change, had...

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

Oh well when you don't learn from history, you keep repeating it. There was a European ambassador, I don't remember from which country. He said something about this country drifting from bad to worse, in the sixties, thats when this country was, at its peak. Imagine. People aren't interested in...

PIA’s financial losses mount to $4 billion

Do you expect anything better from corrupt people and a non-existent system with zero accountability? They scrapped an air-worthy plane for God's sake earlier and sold it for peanuts! Their directors spend billions on foreign tours in an year. The level of mismanagement in PIA is truly...

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

I have lived in the UAE for quite some time and seen young Pakistanis with bachelors, masters, double masters and what-not do security work in Dubai. Not unhappily, they actually pay agents in this country to get that job! Because it pays 3x than whatever the hell, an average honest highly...

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

It appears so. Hope is eternal though. If you were to go to the first year class on the very first day of the university and ask the students what they want to do, after completing their studies. A great many of them will say, they will leave the country, afterwards. I have seen it, first hand...

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

True for all things in life. Why would it not be? The members are from Pakistan and demonstrate the same line of thinking and action, as they do in the real world. To expect anything else from them would be foolish.

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

I remember the long list of the people and final logical outcomes of the pawns. As long as they say "to serve doth suffice" - they flourish with wealth, fame, power and good health. When they get to the "better to reign in hell..." part, they are considered redundant, a liability and taken care of.

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

Because, I don't like the reality and wish for it to change. At the same time, I do acknowledge the reality. Of course, everything starts with the public. If they don't want to change, nobody can make them. All the politicians, military personnel, establishment or any other higher power stem out...

In principle, yes. But in reality, its not that simple. Hence, when confronted with two devils, we take the lesser one.

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

I believe that the denial phase was largely caused by chronic confusion and lack of self. The state irrationally invested a lot in indoctrinating moderate Pakistanis in the eighties and well the people didn't exactly know, who they were anymore, afterwards. Add the fact that all that was there...

Indeed. Classic example of "selling your soul to the devil" and now not being able to ask for it back. You get the money, fame and power yet forfeit your free-will. Simple equation. Yeah, your reputation precedes you :D

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

Imran Khan is an extremely capable person, who can manage between the conservative crowd at home and modern and/or secular expectations abroad. So long as he keeps his head down and mouth shut, which he seems incapable of accomplishing. I don't know what got into him, perhaps its the rhetorical...

Technocrat govt can't resolve Pakistan's issues: PM Abbasi

Very true. Strangely, the only example that came to my mind, at that time, concerned a religious person. Even though, the same mentality can be seen in "Jaag Punjabi jaag, teri pagg nu lg gayi aag" (Wake up Punjabi, your turban has caught on fire") or "Zinda hai Bhutto" (Bhutto is alive!) slogans.
