If I were the russians.. I would totally do so in a clandestine matter. The objective is the same as the American one during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan... to boot the invader (this time usa) from Afghanistan, if you cannot do that, then make it as expensive and costly as possible for them.

Yeah, starwars TFA was terrible. the saber fights were terrible too. the originals were way way better. it made a lot $ because of the popular IP being an american classic and nostalgia.
it was opened with limited screening in other countries.. because i suppose the producers knew the money is in the china market. still, a 30 million film making 800 million+ is insane. i don't think there's another film in that budget range that have done this.
