People that are surprised with such views are the ones who have been ill informed. There are millions of Pakistanis with such views. And not just Pakistan. Every Islamic country has millions of such people. Which is why the world has a big problem coming...............
Rational thought to consider costs and benefits is an afterthought for the mullahs. First they will act based on their worldview. It should be apparent than one can expect the mullahs to be Anti-USA.
If true this is a mistake by the US imo. There are no good guys in this civil war. I would argue that some of these rebel groups coming into power will be more dangerous for the US and the world than Assad.
The US should have let things play out and sit it out for now.
Even if they are cleared from charges they are still not safe. In fact I bet they are more likely to die if they are cleared. Some defenders of Islam will come and kill them extra judicially. This happens all the time in Pakistan.
I can't imagine if this man was the Prime Minister right now. We are so lucky that this delusional man lost the elections, but the problem is that the other party that is soft on the TTP (PMLN) has won, so there shall still be trouble.
My congratulations to the Afghan people for standing up to the Taliban and voting for a new leader. Honestly I am a bit surprised that there wasn't more violence. Can some Afghan posters here explain that? I read about attempted suicide bombings and a little violence here and there but nothing...
There will always be good and bad tv shows, anchors, etc. It is up to you to identify the ones that you find to be credible and worthy of tuning in to.
Thank you for pointing this out. Many people on this forum have made similar arguments about the "liberal fascists" being equal to the right wing jihadis because they want to impose their beliefs on others. Well, surely the people who argue as such should be able to point out the death squads of...
PESHAWAR: Despite a degree of optimism and feel-good impression generated by the militant-handpicked committee, insiders believe the first direct face-to-face interaction with militants has hit a stalemate and unless some quick decisions are taken, it will be difficult to prolong the ceasefire...
Imran Khan is delusional. He has the ability to do all kinds of mental gymnastics to apologize and justify the Taliban.
The irony is that if the Taliban were to come into power one day they would take his head off too for having such a "yuppy" view of them.
^^ Who voted for Nawaz Sharif...........Americans? Did not the likes of Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan get votes based on a campaign of peace talks with the Taliban. They certainly weren't talking about military operations as their solution for this problem. So it means that the Pakistani people...
It should be clear what has to be done but Pakistan is such a confused nation.
On the political front the problem is that Nawaz Sharif is wanting to wait and exhaust all options of dialogue because that is what Imran Khan wants. Imran Khan is a delusional man and I don't know when he will...
Is the Ghazi force banned? If not, then ban them as soon as possible. Lets not make another mistake and let this develop into another TTP-like group, right in our capital.
That is a theological discussion that is not encouraged on this forum. Besides, criticizing Islam gets censored. It has been done once before to one of my posts. But I will tell you what is wrong with shariah law. I will pm you the reply later
Now the Pakistan Army is equivalent to the Taliban? Their ideology is the same? Last time I checked, the Pakistan Army didn't take over any place and start flogging women, do kidnapping, close cd shops and cinemas, ban shaving, bomb schools, and not allow women outside the house.
Please...
Ain't happening. India has made it clear that they won't send troops to Afghanistan, not now, and not in the future.
"I am saying categorically that there is no question of Indian military involvement in Afghanistan. I do not foresee such a situation, not now or in the future," defence...
