The only statement we heard sometime in 2008 was that PAF is interested in a twin-seater and development is focusing on that. No possibility. Prototypes will be developed that will undergo flight tests first. No chance before the second batch of JF-17 or 2011.

I think in the near future stealth---as employed in the F-22---would cease to remain as a mode of choice. There's no such thing as a twin-engined JF-17. Its just fan-boyism.

A little bit--for example JF-17 has a TWR of 0.99 --in the normal way you calculate TWR but ofcourse it always carries 2 wingtip missiels (and if the improved RD-93 is used, even more) but when you are doing these kinds of maneuvers, you do not go with a full tank so figure out a greater TWR...

I don't think a couple of pictures are enough to verify that. We have to wait for some new videos once the squadron is formed. Smoke can easily be missed in pictures especially some of those pics seem enhanced.
