PAF Participating in Międzynarodowe Pokazy Lotnicze AIR SHOW

I am afraid only the Polish version is available online. I cannot post the English version in public due to copyright limitations. Frankly, I have no idea why it has not been aired in Pakistan. PS JF-17 looks great in green, though I agree that metalic with golden thunders would be spectacular.

All people who know what aircraft is, are aware of the Pakistani-Polish connection, a documentary will be aired on TV on the weekend, and I have just been interviewed by TV on the story, explaining the history, and what JF-17 is. No worries, the aircraft will be stars of the show!

Chief of Pakistan Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman visited the Polish Armaments Group (Polsk

Actually, Poland may have an interesting offer for Pakistan including helicopters and other non-aviation weapons or non-military stuff. Also, there is some room for cooperation and exchange, as Poland operates some same or similar types like F-16 Block 52, C-130, CASA 295 or Mi-17. Pakistani...

Gents I would very much like to contact Taimur Nasir Khyber Khan, grandson of the late AVM M. Khyber Khan, but I cannot locate him over the web. I know that he was active some car forums, but it seems he is not. I would be very grateful for any help. Franek

Only two Tempest IIs are exhibited in museums, one each at RAF Museum and IAF Museum. Seven more are held at private collections, all but one are ex-IAF. Full list can be found in the survivors section of the website. Sadly, I am not aware of anything surviving out of RPAF Tempests. I...

Camouflage switch from desert to green gray in 1950s

Thank you for the reply, I am aware of the book, but I am afraid it does not help with my question. Also another one, as to when and why code letters were replaced by digit codes on Sea Furies. Thank you in advance to anyone for the help.

Camouflage switch from desert to green gray in 1950s

As far as I know, the squadron responsible for Karachi air defence was No 11 Squadron on Attackers. No 5, 9 and 14 Squadrons were formed at Peshawar, and based there apart of temporary detachments to Miranshah. They were deployed occassionally to other bases like Mauripur, but I think they...

Camouflage switch from desert to green gray in 1950s

Aircraft. Supermarine Attackers were delivered in High Speed Silver scheme. I do not know, if they were repainted later in service. Sea Furies were delivered in desert scheme, but later were repainted to green & grey camouflage.

PAF war hero Air Marshal (R) Inamul Haq dies aged 90

Well, I have a number of photos taken at Risalpur back in 1949, but I cannot recognise faces of the Pakistani cadets. I guess Inamul Haque Khan appears on the photos.

    Pakistan F-16 Discussions 2

The future of F-35 is still disputed in the US, with several concerns raised. This is big business and big money, and there is much pressure to stop F-16 production in favour of F-35, but it may all change with the new administration. There is still some potential in F-16, and it may well serve...

PAF war hero Air Marshal (R) Inamul Haq dies aged 90

Very, very sorry to hear that. I find his service number 953, graduated on 23 December 1949. It looks he was the last one of his course, and possibly one of the last living Pakistani airmen trained by Poles. Does anyone have his portrait, when younger? I may have his pictures from Risalpur. Do...

    F/O G H K Agha

I was there back in 2014. I have seen some photos and old journals, but overall there was not much on the period. Sadly, it seems the early period of Pakistan Air Force is a bit neglected in general. No glamour!

    F/O G H K Agha

Thanks. Unfortunately, Pakistani books are not easy to obtain in Europe. I am also aware of memories of Zafar Chaudhry and Kamal Ahmad. Any others?

    F/O G H K Agha

No, but I often get that question! :enjoy: Yes, the man was tied with the Polish airmen, he served with few of the Poles on 9 Sqn. I am trying to find as much information on the RPAF as possible, as otherwise the story of the Polish airmen would end up in a simple table listing them and their...

    F/O G H K Agha

Gentlemen Do you have any information on Pakistani fighter pilot, F/O G H K (I H K?) Agha, service number 3406? He was killed on 12 October 1950, I presume in a fatal crash. All I have on him, is that he served on 9 Squadron in 1949. I am especially after his full name. Best regards Franek
