Having trawled my local newsagents there are an abundance of AirForce magazines but alas nothing along the same lines for land armies. The closest thing I was able to find was Combat and Survival Magazine but its not in the same league as Janes.

The Brits have recently got hold of a very intersting weapon for Afghanistan a "loitering missile" which is launched before troops deploy and can easily be called upon to give fire support.
