Uppala though in Kerala,But comes under Tulunadu region..Hindus are majority Tulu speakers,Kannada,Marathi etc,local Muslims are byaris of mixed Arabic-Tulu ancestry(not Malayalam Muslims),Christians are konkani speakers...Religious tension are very common in that area just like adjacent...
