If the Reddit account was deleted by Tom due to improper conduct then CardSharp's comment will go unanswered. Another thing that I noticed about the username (small detail really), m0tbaille. The guy...
Source? I agree that Japan have all the needed tech knowledge to build one which is why I"m surprised that they haven't tried to build their own fighters. Some have pointed out that they don't have the experience in building engines. I don't think that would be a problem for them or they...
I doubt anti-gravity propulsion systems would require massive fans. I'd agree it looks cool but it's really a large target for UCAV's.
If the carrier is traveling that fast then likely no one will be on deck. I'm sure the crew would be wearing some kind of harness to prevent from falling off it.
Tank Man FTW!!! I seriously doubt many people would have the fortitude to do what he did (myself included).
On a lighter note, Vancouver Canuck Goaltender Luongo in every !@#$ critical playoff game:
Not surprised if Russia has the same "program" but China? I doubt such people would publicly comment on this article here on PDF. The Americans can pretty much do anything given the number of bases throughout the World along with their numerous carriers.
O'rly?! Any more info? If this is true then it would explain why the Pentagon release that they have a laser type weapon as well. Unfortunately, I don't think your target will just sit there to get shot at.
Yeah, I read that already. As I stated in CDF, it all boils down to if those individuals care on what they do. Like any other industry, if the waitress doesn't care then you'll get crap service.
It takes a couple of decades to design and build a jet fighter. So, why the surprise on a ship...
How do you know, from looking at the posted pictures, that people are living in these 'camps'? Maybe it's nothing more than a picnic table so that the workers can take their tea(?) breaks (I doubt they drink coffee).
Who cares what the shipyard looks like? If it works for them then so be it.
I've seen a video (presumably from Iraq) of someone getting their throat cut. THAT was difficult to watch. If the executed were policemen then RIP. If I was in their position, I would expect that kind of end if captured so it's best to die fighting (even if I had to resort to throwing stones)...
Will the ex-Varyag ever see active duty? I'm so confused why they are implementing different types of launch systems. Wouldn't that just add more complexity to training? Will both carriers be the same size?
I read that China's two indigenous carriers will use the ski-jump and a conventional power plant. Does China have AEW's that can launch from such a setup?
