The UnDefeated King of South Asian Skies : IAF - Mig 25 Foxbat

I completely agree with you. mig 25 was a product of 60s strategy. ie to deploy fast aircraft with less maneuverability ( in case of mig 25 only 3g) and to rely on AA missiles for enemy kills. many of the aircrafts in that era was built around this concept. but it was never successful...

Sir Creek not to be handed over to Pak

yeah right! but you forgot to mention other MINOR uses like helping to modernise our neighbour's navy by burning down harbours, sinking ships, hunting subs and crashing planes... otherwise they may be left with obsolete equipments, considering their navy's budget!

Opinion: defense services's policy of insisting on 'the best' only

Since last two decades there is a trend in Indian defense services (especially IAF and IA) to insist upon acquisition of the best available defense equipments and platforms that we can buy. now my point is why not accept indigenous equipments that may be less robust presently. we can at...

US want "more jointness" in military operations with India

regional co-op is good, but they should never think of getting India on their bandwagon! we have always followed our own foreign policy.

Pakistan Taliban vow to attack Indian targets over Mumbai gunman

Hope you mean Pakistani Taliban! They have become more of a liability than an asset to Pakistan. Hopefully they will be exterminated and youth in Pakistan can be directed to some constructive path.

Indian bureaucracy an obstacle to defence relationship, says US report

IMO the so called defense experts may have overlooked one significant point... May be we are not so eager to expand defense co-op with USA because we don't want to blindly trust any country. With USA's history of spectacular 180 degree turnabouts in foreign policies, we are justified to be extra...

    India test-fires ballistic missile interceptor

^^ right, it has RF seeker, not IR... I was talking about the ground IR tracking system that was locked on AAD to track progress of AAD... it locked on incoming prithvi, and may be created illusion that AAD also moved acutely onto prithvi... AAD was cruising with motor offline in last few...

    India test-fires ballistic missile interceptor

hi everyone! finally joined the forum!! I don't think the interceptor changed direction acutely. the IR track locked on the incoming prithvi at the last moment because it was radiating more heat signature. IMO flex nozzle won't work so late. the interceptor was cruising passively, so no thrust...
