20 years ago: Iran Almost Invaded Afghanistan in 1998

Ok but it also holds true for 'Tajiks' too. Not all Tajiks are actually 'Persian' ethnically. Some of them are Persianized Turks. All of the old indigenous Iranian population groups of Central Asia like the Bactrians and Sogdians are also today known as just Tajiks and speak Persian dialects...

    Iranian Chill Thread

Lol. This is just typical two faced Pakistan being typical two faced Pakistan. 'Summoning' the Iranian ambassador to complain about things that Iran has been complaining about for 15 years. What a joke. They are trying to save face and spin their chronic dishonesty. I have realized that you...

It doesnt matter what you think about them, they're not Persians. Nobody in Iran or Afghanistan considers Hazaras, Kabulis, Uzbeks and other Persian-speakers there to be ethnically "Persian". The only ethnic Persians in Afghanistan are a section of the Tajik population that mainly lives in...

Iran ‘ready’ for joint anti-terror operation after deadly ambush in Pakistan

What do you mean by thinned out forces? Crime is an issue for the police to deal with, not the army. Where are the Pakistani police on that side of Balouchestan? Smugglers are for Pakistani police to deal with. What Iran wants to do is destroy the terrorist safe havens of Jeash al-Adl inside...

Not really. There are not many 'ethnic Persians' in Afghanistan, just some in a few places like Herat and Balkh. Being a Persian-speaker is not the same as being Persian. Being Tajik is not necessarily the same as being Persian either. Iran wouldnt have been fighting a neighbour though. Iran...

Iran ‘ready’ for joint anti-terror operation after deadly ambush in Pakistan

It's not about right or wrong it's just reality. Iran has no conflict with Pakistan but has become tired of their two faced and inept character. The Iranian viewpoint is broadly as follows: 1) Pakistan is too poor and unstable to commit to establishing law, order and development in areas...

He said cannot "invade" too. The US hasnt been stuck there. They can leave any time they want to, but the fact is, they dont want leave yet. Before he became the President of the US, Donald Trump always advocated a US withdrawal from Afghanistan. But instead of doing that he has instead...

If Iran had captured Herat in 1998 it would not have kept it because the rest of the World would not have allowed it. Iran would probably have just put Ismail Khan or Rabbani there to rule with Iranian help. The Soviets tried to integrate Afghanistan into the Soviet Union which was their...

Bro... What are you talking about? Do you know that the 'graveyard of empires' nonesense is just a cliche that was made up, probably by an American in the 1980s? I wonder actually where the origin of this nonsense comes from. Afghanistan had always been part of somebody else's empire until the...

Iran Exports to Pakistan reach $860 million for current year

I have never tried it. Denial? That's just facts dude. It has nothing to do with me and i dont really care who won that war. Maybe in Pakistan you tell yourselves you won, but that's not how that war is viewed outside of Pakistan. Everyone else see's it as a defeat for Pakistan. That is...

I dont see the comparison. Iran amassed it's ground forces to strike at Herat. The previous govenor of Herat, Ismail Khan, and his fighters were allies of Iran. This is unlike the KSA war in Yemen which is an air campaign and a war against the civilian population.

Iran Exports to Pakistan reach $860 million for current year

Of course it was a comical idea. The Shah was deluded about many things. We are a different breed of people from you. Ruling over aliens and foreign lands is not possible for Iran anymore and we dont want that anyway.

Iran Exports to Pakistan reach $860 million for current year

LOL. This is peanuts. Basically in the 1960s the Shah of Iran was a bit deluded and proposed the idea to try and integrate the Pakistani army and foreign policies under the leadership of Iran, which would make the Shah the head of state of Pakistan, but that the latter country would still...

Should Iran have taken Herat as a warning to the Taliban in 1998, or was the decision to not attack the right one? Iran Almost Invaded Afghanistan in 1998 Tehran avoided a potentially costly war In late 1998 Iran readied its armed forces for an invasion of Afghanistan. Last-ditch diplomacy...

Iran ‘ready’ for joint anti-terror operation after deadly ambush in Pakistan

Pakistan has already been 'tasting it's own medicine' for over 10 years. It is not as bad there as it was in the late 2000s and early to mid 2010s, but they still have not learned their lesson. There is a funny American saying about Pakistan along the lines that 'you pay a bribe to get in, but...

Iran ‘ready’ for joint anti-terror operation after deadly ambush in Pakistan

This is amusing. Pakistan doesnt control their border areas with Iran. There is no infrastructure in those places bordering to the east of Sistan & Balouchestan. No decent roads, no courts, no police, no schools, no jobs, no clinics, people are uneducated and live in filthy conditions...

Fourteen Iranian security forces kidnapped on border with Pakistan

Correct. When the group first emerged about 5 years ago i remember it being reported that French spies tracking terrorist groups in the Middle East and in Asia had confirmed the position of Iranian intelligence that Jaesh al-Adl was being propped up and fed by Saudi Arabia and Pakistan...

Pakistan, Iran connected by inseparable bonds: Imran Khan

Hahahahaha.... Do you think that you are part English too since they also conquered and ruled Hindush? :P No we're not. I saw some clips from Pakistani tv and movies a few times and they were uber Indian in style, language and looks. Also the food is like 100% Hindo tasting and smelling...

Iran launching missiles towards ISIS positions

They could just fly the drones no further than a 3 to 0.5 miles range within the Iranian airspace. They dont need to be flown over the border unless there is an agreement that fleeing attackers can be shot and killed. Pakistan should welcome such a move, unless they are on the side of Iran's...
