Dhruv, Tejas Replace Super Hornet In AeroIndia 2011 Publicity Material

Did anyone notice, there has been a new 'for the first time DM is going to look at "life cycle" costs' circulating in news articles? I am thinking that is to justify the purchase of the Super Hornet.

    Clueless on China

We also have the term 'face'. But it is not considered a virtue by all the people. In india, atleast south india, new generation people think of it as the impediment to progress. Also we have a saying 'One who forgives is a man, one who asks for forgiveness is a greater man' (rough translation)...

    Clueless on China

I really hope so... But you never know what these ******** politicians are upto. Anything in today's situation can trigger a war unless we make progress with dialogues. An accidental firing of a missile, a plane straying into enemy territory being shot down, a border patrol straying into other...

    Clueless on China

China thinks AP is its trump card in case of negotiations. They have no real intentions of annexing AP. But let me say how stupid this is. Its like India claiming Beijing as its territory. In case of a negotiations we say ok give up tibet, we will give up Beijing. It is the result of stupid...

    Clueless on China

Unfortunately, I too think a war in the near future is imminent. It is never good for either china or India, but unless we take a step back, put aside our egos, hurt and show gestures of goodwill we are definitely in for a war. Let me play out a scenario. Thing is, with the current...

    Clueless on China

Everyone would understand china if it had an open policy. If we have to speculate the intentions of China, how can we trust you? This just leads to more and more doubts and insecurity. US is nicely playing India pitting it against China. But if China reassures us then we wont probably react to...

CRPF jawans easy prey like broiler chicken: Maoists

CRPF jawan training is almost as good as the army jawans. It is the training of the officers that is lacking. What they lack is better tactics. I mean how long will they keep walking into traps? They need off road armoured vehicles and body armour. Even if they walk they should have machine gun...

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

It is funny the way you repeatedly dodge soaringphnx's question with the same rhetoric. You basically are saying Washington post's article is mere bullshit. If you are American, you would know, Washington post is a very reputed news organisation(on the top with NYTimes etc). They dont post...

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

Most posters here deriding Russian technology as inferior, is far from ground reality IMO. I am posting this to dubunk the myth that all US products are superior to others by default. I will give reasons for this. US didn't become a world leader by just spending more money. I feel compelled to...

    Weaponised Dhruv test firing

In the second video, we can see the rockets fired in a line, the trajectory gradually moving to the right (wrt pilot). Is it the helmet mounted sight at work for the rocket pods too? :) Or did the heli itself move to the right? or was there some problem with the test? I thought it (HMS) worked...

    Weaponised Dhruv test firing

The first one is the turret mounted Nexter 20mm gun firing. So you dont see the bullets as they are not tracer bullets. In the second video it is the unguided rocket pods firing. Hence the visible flame of the rocket motor from rockets fired from the left and right pods.

HAL Tejas | Updates, News & Discussions

How come they make the same plane with the same engine take off at 200m on carrier vs 800m on land? Can anyone enlighten me on this? Is the max weapon load lesser for the navy? Does the addition of LEVCONS do all the trick? Is there a trade off for adding this? If not, why is this not being...

    India's Dirty War-Forbes.com

This is not an informed opinion of the situation. Even though I would like a non-corrupt government to come to power, even if it is communist, it is kinda impossible under present conditions. It is ignorant to compare the socio-political conditions in which communist and the democratic...
