I still want to see how India will deal with the needed reprocessing of the thorium fuel, as that the major drawback in the use of thorium in the solid fuel reactor. Reprocessing highly radioactive thorium 228TH will require some innovation no doubt.
LOL once thorium revolution begin the middle east will be done. Nothing there of interest to the rest of the non Muslim world except sand and camel.. The only country in the middle east that will be worth a dime is Israel.
I have my doubt about those reserve number lol, where China they been providing the entire planet with rare earth and yet they have zero thorium that just not believable.
If you mean rare earth than your number is way off as China provide the world with most of the rare earth metal.

Rare earth industry in China - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
So this basically mean that once the Chinese got the MSTR(TMSR) working they already got enough thorium...
You know the rare earth metal that China mines, a lot the by product of off rare earth mining is thorium.. The US also have rare earth deposit but we can't mine it. Mining it will produce too much thorium, and the way our law works is it regard THORIUM as radioactive waste and mining company...
There is so much thorium that if it was use in a MSTR or LFTR that it won't be worth much. The money will be in the leasing of the reactor itself not the thorium. That why we here in America are worry that China is putting in $2 billion per year researching/ building their fourth GEN...
The US always have plenty of oil under ground, it was always much cheaper to buy. We stop drilling for the most part when the oil prices was low. Its becomes profitable when oil is over $100 a barrel. It just took us a few years to ratchet up production.. lol If we really need oil we could...
Air Marshal RK Nehra didn't hold back his view
He basically said the Indian general in 1962 were incompetent and the Indian fighting troops were cowards. Instead of taking ownership of their failure( incompetent-cowardice), they decide to place the blame on:
No wonder after 53 years...
I amazon and got a few blu ray : GI joe Retaliation, Pacific Rim, Star trek into Darkness and World War Z.. got them for $7.99 each
could have gotten them for $6 each at the local store but not willing deal with all the hassle to save $8.
we had turkey this year, in the past 2 year we had ham. Turkey during thanks giving mean ham for Christmas in our family.
Black Friday is a day to avoid all shopping for me, why waste family time to go wait in line for hours on deals that can be had online with no hassle.
it is u 233 we got 10 tons of it and the DOE(department of energy) is going to spend $1 billion to get rid of it.
I miss quote its not a few thousand ton* its about 10 tons off u 233
start at the 6:00 minute marks where he talks about the DOE planning to get rid of u 233 at Oakridge.
The...
We have a few thousand ton of u 233 at Oakridge, our government is about to spend $300 to $400 million to get rid of it.. btw u233 can be use as a catalyst agent inside a MSTR or LFTR and I have no clue why our government is about to spend 1/2 a billion to throw away about a billions dollars...
Using thorium in a candu is more expensive for us, it simply cheaper for us to use uranium. The most efficient and safest way to derive energy from thorium is to use it in a MSTR or LFTR.
That island in the middle of the deck is a bad placement there by slowing the launch and recovery of aircraft, the Vikramaditya has an elevators that are not located on the side but in the middle of the ship. You can not land or launch an aircraft while an aircraft is using the elevator, another...
Talking like an uneducated tree hugger. Wind doesn't provide energy in a consistence bases, and solar will take up too much space and provide energy only when the sun is shining.. The only renewable energy source that is reliable today is hydro power(dam).
What India doing is nothing special they are just using thorium in a CANDU reactor. The reason why the US and other country are not doing it is because that kind of method is just to expensive as its cheaper to just dig up uranium.
We talking about thorium reactor not fast breeder reactor.
The...
