I agree with what you say. Yes, Cyrus helped the Jews in exile. Persia has a long history of ties with Jews. Until relationship faltered recently...

Yes, I know. I have noticed that many Iranians in the forum tend to be atheists or agnostics. Pls don't think I am saying they are bad, of course everybody has the right to their beliefs.

So, personally, I think the Iranian regime may shift in the future towards a more secular model - perhaps based on Persian nationalism rather than Shia islamism as it is now. I agree with you on that. On the whole, it may be better for Iran as it will cease to be a theocratic sectarian regime as it is now but will rather be a state with relation with west and Israel normalized. This will eventually open up Iranian exports and imports and Iran will prosper more, God willing.
