In order to convince foreign players to play in the upcoming Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final in Lahore, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is ready to offer extra financial reward to overseas recruits and better accommodation facilities at National Cricket Academy (NCA), Press Trust of India reported on Thursday.

Speaking to media in Lahore, PSL chairman Najam Sethi said that overseas players were being offered extra money to play the final in the city. “We are offering them at least $20000 each if they play the final in Lahore,” he said.

PCB has already begun the process of signing new overseas players for PSL’s upcoming edition, with New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum, England’s Eoin Morgan, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga and South Africa’s Albie Morkel already on board.

Sethi also said that some foreign players have already agreed to play the PSL final in the city. “I can assure you that the PSL final in Lahore will be bigger than the one held in UAE last February,” he said.

The chairman added that 14 new rooms with top-class facilities were being constructed at the NCA adjacent to the Gaddafi stadium as accommodation for these players. He said the plan was to have accommodation for the teams at the NCA as part of the security plan for the PSL final.

No top team has toured Pakistan since March 2009 after militants attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team bus near Gaddafi stadium. However, the board recently bought four bulletproof buses as a measure to convince other teams to shed their security apprehensions and visit the country.

Hope international cricket come in Pakistan

Pakistani news paper is getting news about Pakistan Cricket Board from and Indian source "Press trust of India". Now , I am not sure who is in-charge of hiring, but the person who hired him or her should be fired

20K seems very less.

20K $$$ for one match is quite a lot of money, considering they get around $ 100K for the whole tournament.
Anyways few players already agreed as per news reports.

From where PCB get the money to pay for that ? Isn't PCB chief recently requested for special funds from ICC ?

You people don't have to worry about from where we get the money, not forgetting it was Effing Raw agents who attacked the Srilankan team.

They starting to make enough money with PSL.

Why not Karachi?

Why not Karachi?

Because NCA is in Lahore and PCB is renovating it to add around 14 more rooms so guests will be able to stay there.
That cuts out the security risk of having to travel from the hotel to stadium.

We already hosted zimbabwe last year why does dawn says no team has visited?

PCB made huge sums of money from PSL; it's budget has increased by a lot.

I did not say you are the only troll here..... (and that post was only meant for that thread and the post you made) I normally go by the post, not the poster...... I would agree if you made a good and contributing post in any thread (if i came across)

Lahore now needs two more new floodlights stadiums to be contructed. Built one more stadium near scenic Ravi river and one near Minar-e-Pakiatan.
