Among my relatives no woman member wore the burqa 20 years ago. Now most do. A wrong, suffocating and oppressive change in Indian Muslim society brought by the TJ.

Islamic principles are not only about just doing prayer and fasting and observing festivals and certainly are not about the kind of silly and oppressive dress code that is fashionable now but is about intelligent and subtle things that are meant to enable a progressive welfare state society. There are not brain washed. They are following Islamic teachings in letter and spirit. In fact people who are opposing them are the ones who have been brain washed by the West and the non-believers.

Anyway, my wife wear Burqa and she is an MD. All her life she practised that. My modesty or decency level is wearing dupatta at least on the neck line even the Kamees/shirt is covering till neck. However, I don't force her to take off hijab as she likes that.
However, with all her belief, she won't allow me for polygamy.

Key point here is that you dont force your wife i.e. you dont impose your decisions on her. That is because you value her as an equal partner. Correct?

Why should you expect your partner to allow polygamy? Would you ever think of allowing her for polyandry (i.e. one woman multiple man)?
