Kia all set to launch Sportage SUV in Pakistan

South Korean automaker Kia, marked its comeback in Pakistan last year with the launch of luxurious Grand Carnival. Alongside, the Frontier K2700 commercial pickup was also introduced in the market.

Now Kia seems to be well on course to launch its SUV in Pakistan, which is likely going to be the Sportage. Kia is currently visiting various cities across Pakistan along with their Grand Carnival, Sportage SUV and some other vehicles.



Globally, Kia is largely acknowledged for its superior quality, reliability and above all some striking designs which has helped the company win a number of international awards, and the Sportage is just one of such examples. It is the winner of the 2016 Red Dot Award for Car Design, and IIHS Top Safety Pick rating for 2017.

The Sportage measures 4480x1855x1655mm with a wheelbase of 2670mm. Overall its considerably bigger than the Honda HR-V/ Vezel and Suzuki Vitara while having a bigger wheelbase too, which results in better interior space for the occupants.

Moreover, the lucrative offer is the 4 year/ 100,000 km warranty by Kia Motors Pakistan, which is the highest offered by any automaker operating in Pakistan. Reportedly, Kia Motors Pakistan is eying to start local production of vehicles by 2019.

KIA and Hyundai have gained alot of market globally and its good to see they are offering close to their warranty which they offer elsewhere.

Price is reasonable, comparable to the UK price. Rs40 lakh isn't a bad price for the car.
