Turkish Defence Industry Exports & Updates

AFAIK, a lot of hardware like T129 are built under license so a portion of the money earned goes to other countries.

It's a good grow rate if we keep it that way for next decade which is difficult but not impossible.
we export in 9.2 bilion dollar

you should proof it...

Well, for one thing, the engines are American, the airframe is Italian.

In February, TAI’s general manager Temel Kotil said that TAI had the requisite licenses to re-export the T-129’s powerplant, the CTS800 turboshaft engine, and that he anticipated a T-129 sale to Pakistan “in the coming months.”

You have many matured platforms, most of our platforms are under development or just new in the market (except land platforms).

Well, if Turkey can make an engine, wouldn't need to pay foreign countries.
We are working on it. What about the airframe ?

Here comes the example why The thread must be opened in the Europe section Where Turkey belongs politically and geographically.

Thanks dear mullah for being an example to everbody, especially The Turk members who waste time and post in this section.
Think another 4 minutes then answer.

That's A129 airframe.
Okay, let me clarify it for you.

IP rights of T-129 belongs to Turkey. We are not producing it under licence because we bought it's rights. From Avionics to Airframe everything being produced in Turkey, except (Engine, Drive train, Main Gun).

Indigenous 20 mm main gun being developed by Sarsılmaz
Indigenous TS 1400, 1400 shp turboshaft engine being developed by TEI.

Some portion of the money goes to Byzantine Empire

Summary:

  • Pakistan ordered some 488 grenade launchers from MKEK/Turkey,
  • Kalekalıp produced all and delivered some 288 to Pakistan,
  • Pakistan used them with unspecified different ammo, and broke some, refused to send back the rest,
  • Turkey fixed them as good willing gesture and free of charge, but at cost of disreputation for her industry
  • Pakistan paid no money, even a penny in the contract of $10 million.
On top of that, Pakistan has now produced ''indigenous'' grenade launchers with zero money, risk, R&D, thanks to most probable ToT from Turkey.

Treachery.. Idiocy.. Genius.
