He admitted that NATO was not ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine and to grant membership

KIEV, February 25. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in a video address to the nation on Friday night he was not afraid to discuss with Russia the issue of Ukraine’s neutral status.
"We heard from Moscow today that they want to talk about the neutral status of Ukraine," Zelensky said in the video, posted on his Telegram channel. "We are not afraid of Russia, we are not afraid of engaging in talks with Russia, we are not afraid of discussing anything, such as security guarantees for our state, we are not afraid of talking about neutral status."
He admitted that NATO was not ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine and to grant membership.
"I was saying to all partners of our country: ‘The moment is crucial, the fate of our country is now at stake.’ I asked them: ‘Are you with us?’ They replied that yes, they are with us, but are not ready to make us members of the alliance. I asked 27 European leaders today whether Ukraine will become a NATO member. <…> They gave no answer," Zelensky said.
The Russian authorities are ready to talk with the Ukrainian leadership, if it is willing to discuss Russia-formulated issues, including Ukraine’s neutral status, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday. When asked to specify whether Russia was now ready to talk with the Ukrainian leadership on this topic, Peskov emphasized: "If the Ukrainian leadership is ready to talk on that."
Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address on Thursday morning that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in order to protect people "who have been suffering from abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years." The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories.

Sometimes I believe he is a Russian man. I mean look at him in his early Press Conferences giving threats to Russia and Paving the way for their Invasion. Double Agent kind of thing

So basically he is saying he is not afraid of surrendering???... Is he stupid or something?... The whole point of surrendering is because you are afraid.

He is pushed by western clown. They court him with sweet and cheese and give so many empty promise. But he is left alone. He need to save his own life.

He need to condemn the western to pacify Russia, like calling Biden good old fart will be a good start.

Atleast he didn't fled like coward Ghani and his troops are fighting even getting defeated where as so called 300,000 strong Indian and american trained ANA force gave up to the Talibans without firing single bullet.

Zelensky considers new Russian invasion of Ukraine unlikely

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky considers a new Russian invasion unlikely, The Wall Street Journal reports.

"Zelensky still considers the invasion unlikely and is concerned that terrible public warnings from the United States about a possible invasion serve to expand Russia's efforts to destabilize Ukraine and its economy," the statement reads.

WSJ reporters also asked Ukrainian presidential spokesman Serhiy Nikiforov, but he declined to comment.

As it was reported, the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov declared that the possibility of considerable escalation from the Russian Federation continues to be estimated as low.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Foreign Minister assessed the threat of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, saying that the situation near the country’s borders did not change.

He is as incompetent as biden. 600k troops give up fighting in days. Some times I wonder are all western politicians as incompetent as him. I see a bunch of clowns only good at talking ,talking and blaming, nothing else. West type democracy is rotting fast.

Zelensky means that he doesn't mind becoming the president of the puppet regime of Ukraine controlled by Russia.

For these Ukrainian politicians, they serve whoever gives them money and power. Do you really think they have great ideals?

Politicians with truly great ideals will not gain power by inciting populism and Nazi thought, because anyone with a little IQ and political knowledge knows it's poison. Those who prefer to drink poison to gain power must be for selfish desires, not great ideals.

No matter what you guys say i actually think he is brave as a person, he did not leave Ukraine like ashraf ghani

Zelensky is different from Ashraf Ghani.
The Taliban do not need Ashraf Ghani to gain legal rule, and Russia needs Zelensky to get the legal rule of Ukraine.
We can expect the president of the new Ukrainian government to remain Zelensky. We should not underestimate the moral floor of Ukrainian politicians.

Beyond the rhetoric and hysterical bullshy Foxy headlines ets look at the underlying facts that have informed Russian action. Moscow is not prepared to accept Ukraine joining NATO anymore then USA would accept Mexico joining the Russian orbit. It is blunt NO.

However the ever eastward expansion of NATO had given rise to illusion that maybe, just maybe Ukraine could also be squeezed in. And it was this titllating thought that got Kyiv carried away along with their backers in Washington and London.

This left Putin two choices. Quitely watch on and see Ukraine gaining full NATO membership or do something about it before it's too late.

Thus this Russian action which has forced the situation to resolve itself. NATO either could have taken action or stayed on the sidelines - this is what it has done. We just heard talk out of London and Washington.

Zelensky tried to call all NATO leadership but non were prepared to risk a world war over Ukraine which is after all not a NATO country thus no bound to be protected.

This has not sobered Zelensky. Putin will get what he wanted. A written guarantee that Ukraine will not join NATO now or in the future and will remain NEUTRAL.

I believe this is what will be agreed on and the fighting will cease. Moscow will pull it';s troops out but will retain the breakaway republics.

This has also demonstrated to the West that should ever a attempt be made to bring Ukraine into the Western camp Moscow will use FORCE to pre-empt any such move.

Thus Ukraine we can say with certitude will remain neutral and NATO will stay put where it is now. This is best outcome for all. I don't think third world war would have been good for the panet.

Russia needs Zelensky to get the legal rule of Ukraine.
Please read my above post. Zelensky will play a very pivotal role in the agreement that will be signed between Moscow and Kyiv that assures Moscows concerns - this permanently turning Ukrain into neutral territory which Zelensky will agree to as he has no other choice - his Western backers are not ready to go to war with Russia over his country.

Ukraine 2022 is NOT Poland 1939. Thank god for that or the millenial generaton would have been wiped out in another world war.

Didn't Putin asked the Ukrainian military to overthrow the Nazi led government?
