While admitting that the altercation was "regrettable" he underlined Ukrainian continued dedication to ensuring regional peace and stability, Zelensky acknowledged the value of American assistance in Ukraine fight against Russian aggression and apologized in an attempt to restore relations with the United States.

Zelensky would have been better off making a deal with Putin without involving EU and USA. One master is better than two or three. Putin won't rule Russia forever.
