ISLAMABAD: President Pervez Musharraf Wednesday said that extremism and terrorism are major hurdles in progress of the country, which could not be contained with share use of force. He called the youth to join hands with the government to eliminate the menace.
The President was addressing a certificate distribution ceremony amongst a batch of students of National Vocational and Technical Education Commission (NAVTEC) here at the Convention Centre.
Musharraf emphasized the youth to cooperate with the government to root out extremism and terrorism. He called the youth of the country to use their talent in a positive manner for progress and prosperity of the country.
Musharraf said that better job opportunities could also help to contain the extremism. He said the government was offering full attention to technical education for elimination of unemployment and poverty alleviation.
Chief Minister of Sindh Arbab Ghulam Rahim, federal ministers Ghulam Sarwar Khan and Javed Ashraf Qazi were also present on the occasion.
