Yellow Sea no place for US carrier

A symbol of its past hegemony, the US still likes to deploy aircraft carriers around the world when it wishes to disturb others.So far, no definitive answer has been given to speculation over whether the US will send a carrier to participate in joint military drills with South Korea in the Yellow Sea.

But the possibility remains infuriating to many Chinese.But the US should reconsider its military movements in the West Pacific. Disguised as a move aimed at maintaining regional stability, the deployment of a carrier off of China's coast is a provocation that will generate hostility among the Chinese public toward the US. Who would not be bothered by an opponent hanging around at the door with a gun all day long?

It's not even for sure the Navy is sending a carrier there. And even if it does it's not the first time a carrier has been there.

We just recently had Russian warships have excercises with Venezuela, you didn't see us throw a temper tantrum did you? btw, Chinese shipping and some warships DO go through the Panama Canal, and US carriers are in Japan all the time. What is this sensitive time you speak of?

Hence we have the Russian spy incident now, those spies were under surveillance for quite a long time, the timing to expose them now, shows some interesting ideas.

There are many other ways to show displeasure without resorting to military actions - in this case a couple of old cold-war era Ruskie warships without much offensive capabilities just does not warrant the measures for Uncle Sam to waste his resources on. To expose a few high profile spies to piss off the Russians is just about right for a proportional response.

However, if the Russians were sending a large fleet of nuclear aircraft cruisers/submarines (with cruise missile capability to strike deep into the USA's soil) to exercise a hundred miles off New York habour, now THAT will set off a higher pitch alarm bell.
