What's new

Yamaha motor cycle plant to be inaugurated in Pakistan

.
I have seen pictures of motor cycle plying in Pakistani roads......... This will surely change the standards in Pakistan....... They have some very good models and their quality standards are also high......

Yamaha was avialable freely in Pakistan before, I bought my first motorcycle Yamaha GTO in 1982

.
Instead of going for R1, you should ask them to produce R15, which is a smaller version of R1, a cheaper one with a 150 cc engine....

still too fuel thirsty for the Honda CD70 addicted awam....

.
Srsly the bikes I see on PK Roads are very bad & look like they are at least 3-4 decades old
true that,
nowadays there have been some new designs but the attractive designs are pretty much from the companies whose bikes have crappy engines.
I dont see much from Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki . etc

funny thing 2015 and 1991 have same design .. its just on papers when you sell with chasis number confirmation that this batakh was made in that year :)
honda needs to improve their design..

indeed, i dunno wtf the folks in those companies do, for God's sake come up with something new,
people are fed up from that same old crap.

Which one you would prefer

India has a very thriving biking industry .....Pakistan has yet to introduce new designs ....any good project can become a blockbuster ...Pakistani business tycoons should do it ..any youth's first love is a bike not a car ....everyone wants a bike ...there is a minimum margin of failure in such projects in Pakistan !

. . .
And it will cost over 2 million+ in Pakistan :-D :-D like suzuki hayabusa 2.3 million

Come on, bhai, we know there's a lot of rich people in Pakistan. Pakistanis know how to save, and they have very handsome tastes in --- products. I know, i have Pakistani friends here in USA. ;)

Pakistani are like Persians -- they love high end products -- Gucci, Armani attire, and cologne style they wear -- wooh! high class !

;) ;)

.
You guys still make the Enfield from 1940s

I got this one recently.. after being made to wait for 5 months

By the way, will the production from yamaha plant cater to local markets or be export oriented?
You need to get some competition asap else base models with high premium will be the case here.

^^^YBR 110, INR 48,218,Mileage 55Kmpl

^^^Yamaha Crux,INR 40,935,Mileage 63KMPL,

These two are the cheapest Yamaha bikes in India, and they can compete with CD70 in terms of Mileage too I guess.
p.s:The ones I posted are commonly available specs, the mileage can be more or less depending on the user.

. .
Dar was informed that the plant would produce 31,000 units in the first year with a localisation of 25 per cent. He was further informed that Yamaha would achieve 55 per cent localisation in three years and 85 per cent in five years. Yamaha delegation stated that the delegation would bring new value to Pakistani market and increase the competitiveness of its industry. Yamaha would initially focus on the domestic Pakistani market and target exports at a later stage.

This will only be the time to buy the bike. After that the more localisation is added, the pathetic its quality will get.

Say hello to Yamaha in April

.
Can we also please have a competitor to the tin can quality Honda and Toyota and Suzuki in Pakistan?
i believe Mazda would suit the Pakistani market more... Kia has ruined its brand image with the cars it has previously released.
