I stand by my prediction that Tesla’s current honeymoon period in the Chinese market is very similar to Apple in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s. What happened was Apple dominated the Chinese market and thought domestic companies will never catch up. Domestic companies observed and learned and now totally dominate the Chinese market.

The exact scenario will happen to Tesla. Tesla comes into the market and dominates for a few years and once the Chinese companies are ready, Tesla’s market share will shrink.

China is the largest EV market. Chinese companies don’t need to sell to overseas markets to get big sales. Tesla needs the Chinese market.

Elon Musk attacking domestic companies will increase the profile of the domestic companies and they will gain market share.

Tesla has nowhere near the market share of Apple back in the day. They are just one player among many. In reality, Tesla outside of China is basically a zombie company with negative profit, they did not turn a profit from registration all the way up to 2020 when sales began in China.

Nobody in the US really cares about electric, it's all about gas guzzling SUVs and trucks. Even Tesla's own parking lot is filled with gas cars.

Tesla employees don't believe in Tesla or are way too underpaid to drive their own vehicles.

You don't see Apple filled with people using Android phones, do you?

Um...you do realize at the end he says his largest holding is Tesla and Nio being successful is a longshot bet due to many negatives including relying on Intel's Mobileye and incompetent Chinese state run companies.

Lol... Tesla shall learn to build a better EV before talking crap. Xpeng is world class EV. Symphony system with world class sound proof, unrival voice control system. Xpeng hardware is much superior than Tesla 3 and it's just a matter of software upgrade to make it level 4 or 5 driving.

Each country has different road conditions.

Even if FSD entered Indonesia, it won't be 100% compatible with the local road.
