While I would support India in all political issues, doing the same for business is a recipe for disaster. I welcome the Chinese competitors into the Indian market and wish them well.

I am using in this Mi pad for a few days. Its good low cost solution for a pad, with good resolution. I like my iPad better though.

Micromax doesn't design or engineer its phones. It buys Chinese OEM products and put a label on it and charge a fortune.

Interestingly, Micromax claims to have a R&D center in China, which shares the same address as Wiko's R&D center. Wiko is a very popular brand in France, but it's completely owned by a Chinese company called Tinno Mobile. Most French people don't know this, and they assume Wiko is a French company.

Now, even more interesting, the address for Micromax's research center (and Wiko's research center) happens to be a corporate office owned by Tinno Mobile.

I think Micromax is in fact a Chinese company pretending to be Indian.

I chose this mobile solely because it was our Indian Mobile trying to getting it off.
I was offered many freebies by NOKIA and SAMSUNG people, I chose Micromax, because if YOU DON'T ENCOURAGE YOU OWN INDUSTRY, WHO WILL? YOUR FATHER? GREAT GRAND FATHER?
I am not patriotically blind too, i always check and cross check and see what i am buying. A little bit of research before buying helps. Back then Micromax was good in all specifications and was priced lower than Samsung.
I have it,but until now no COMPLAINTS!

Wiko's China R&D center has the SAME address as Micromax's R&D center, but the address is an office building owned by Tinno.

This tells me that Micromax is a subsidiary of Tinno Mobile in the same manner as Wiko. This is why so many of Micromax's phones are Wiko phones with a different label.
