Bilawal calls talk of Article 149 conspiracy against Sindh

Hyderabad: Pakistan People's Party will not tolerate any conspiracy against Sindh, said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday while reacting to federal law minister's remarks government must invoke article 149 in order to address the issues facing Karachi.

Speaking at a press conference, the PPP chairman said after depriving Sindh of its rights, the government now plans to occupy Karachi.

"Efforts are afoot to destroy Sindh," said Bilawal Bhutoo Zardari adding that Law Minister Farogh Naseem presented a formula to occupy Karachi.

"We will not let (the government) snatch Sindh's rights," said he.

He said the government will have to go if it attempts to occupy Karachi.

Bilawal said the government plans to carry out economic massacre of federating units.

He said such measures had led to dismemberment of Pakistan in the past.

"How is it possible to control Karachi from Islamabad," said he.

"We will not let this undemocratic government work ," the PPP chairman said.

That's why I have suggested that Karachiites should arrange a million strong rally in their city and make demands so that the whole world knows. If Karachites can't muster up this much courage and can only be cry babies of social media then I advise the federal govt to focus on other important issues and they have plenty at their plate.

Anyway, who cares what he says, PTI has support of the establishment and Judiciary and Karachi needs an emergency response ........... emergency should be declared on Karachi to fix:

1. Garbage (Collection, Disposal & Recycle); also fumigation against insects, flies & mosquitoes etc.
2. Water (House to House delivery of clean water; stop Water Tanker Mafia)
3. Sewerage (Fix the sewerage and drainage issues of the City; Clean Drains, waterways and Nalla's etc.)
4. Traffic (Fix the darned traffic mess and fix people who run red lights, drive on the wrong side of the road, drive in between lanes, don't stop BEFORE the Zebra Crossing etc.), Ban on vehicles polluting the city

In addition, Mass Transit System based on underground & overground Trains (with underground train stations; Singapore, UK etc., can be prime examples), state of the art Buses etc. should be planned for intermediate and long term implementation based on BOT.

The Sindh government has neglected Karachi for 12 years, the federal government has full right to take over Karachi according to Article 149 of Constitution of Pakistan

- 52 people electrocuted in recent Karachi rains
- Non functioning garbage collection, trash everywhere
- Flies, mosquitoes, dengue and naegleria are spreading
- Storm Drains, sewerage is choked
- Encroachment (Qabza) mafia operating freely
- Disgusting tap water, filled with mud in households.
- Street crimes are increasing due to lack of jobs in government sectors

PPP your time is up. Whole Karachi despise Sindh government actions.

I, as a citizen of Karachi wholeheartedly welcome the center decision to make Karachi a federal territory.
