Reagan was a first rate polished actor in Hollywood before he started to venture into local California politics and then the US Presidency.

His poise, polish and finesse (the way he carried himself, all folksy and jokesy but dignified nonetheless) was at another level. Came from years and years of voice and actor training.

Not a fan of the GOP at current time, but from watching old videos, you can see how incredibly polished Reagan's speech delivery was and why folks of all stripes and beliefs (even democrats) liked him...

IIRC ... didn't the IAF CAS visit Pakistan soon after the 1965 War (or vice-versa)? @SQ8

I do have to say though...the CAS' on both sides really had another level of dignity / 'izaat. I guess it might have been the generation at the time and/or being WW2 veterans?
