I tell you this, if the "revolution" in Syria was like the revolution in Bahrain, a real genuine peaceful revolution, Alasad wouldn't last a minute...

Good point. I think if Bashar did not give up being dictator, then the Syrian army would have removed him from office like what the Egyptian army did to Mubarak and Morsi.

didn't it start of like that before the barrel bombing???

It started when Qaeda hijacked the peaceful demonstrations and started shooting at Syrian police and soldiers. This is just like what happened at Maidan, where it started off with peaceful demonstrations before it was hijacked by Right Sector who started carrying out violence including shooting at police.

agree on the hijack part just not on the timeline
so there were peaceful demonstrations in the start
met a violent response from the government
and then the extremists moved in

The Syrian police showed tremendous professionalism and never carry out any act of violence on peaceful demonstrators. When Qaeda hijacked in April 2011 the Syrian military was deployed. Bashar did carry out the will of the people and did reform in February 2012, did he not? :enjoy: Of course, had there been no Qaeda terrorism, Bashar would have carried out reform much earlier in 2011.

seriously???
the protests started around March 11
in 10 days almost a 100 people were shot
then the Hama massacre happened
desertions took place within the army that was the first sign of armed struggle
by 2012 a lot of water had passed under the bridge

Well then they should have stopped this pointless insurgency when Assad finished reform in February 2012. Continued insurgency will only end up getting insurgents killed by the Syrian military. Taking Damascus is a pipe dream. :enjoy:

Whats the difference between real revolution and not real? And why do u think revolution is fast thing? It took 17 years for Chinese rebels to overthrow Mongol rulers.

Not really overthrown. Yuan dynasty is one of China's major dynasties. Inner Mongolia is now part of China.

real revolution is a revolution done for Syria and the Syrian people, not for the west and their puppets... that is a genuine revolution..

barrel bombing started in 2012... plus barrel bombings is only against terrorists.. and the first victims of the Syrian conflict were unarmed riot police and police officers.. something the western media will never tell because it is the truth..

So barrel bombing campaign only started after Bashar reformed the constitution in February 2012?
