Worst Tail-Gating Experience?

I was just tailgated yet again so I decided why not we create a thread for our experiences.

Tailgating has become very common thing with me lately. Not sure why, I drive 5 over unless there's traffic.

Just recently I turned out of store into the second lane and reached 32 mph and stayed at that since light turned red. Nevertheless woman behind me got upset and wouldn't slow down. As we turn right there are two lanes that merge into one. I thought she would try overtaking me. so I intentionally drove in middle of two lanes.

And there she begins waving at me in anger.

One time a businessman was late to work. On same street I just was tail gaited on se he decided to take his anger out on me. This guy actually overtook me though. He was beeping while he was at it. I hit the throttle and beeped back at him in return. And taikgated him for next mile. Because I had enough at that time.

But by far , worst experience was as I left my college. A driver in an suv behind me was had problem that I was driving on limit. So I purposely slowed down and a second lane was approaching. I wanted to let him through. It was subdivision entrance btw. Eventually he did overtake me. But as he passed he was staring me down.

So I got pissed and decided to play same game.

I noticed a round about coming, and in front of him was truck blocking him. So I quickly got to his side so he couldn't switch lanes and I sped passing him. Oh boy. ....

He went crazy hitting full throttle and beeping. And he tried driving me off roundabout. As he passed he was munching on his lunch sandwich and giving me the finger at the same time.

I had to stop there because I didn't want to hit traffic.

What was your worst experience? I know we all have them.

I don't mind riding someone's a**... for a while, but you've got to be a bit more concerned than usual, especially while driving.

Thats not called tail gating.. or is it? Tail gating is something we used to call eating meat and drinking before an american football game at the venue. What you are describing is something more like riding on someones *** in traffic. More like "Road Rage".

Tailgating is also used to describe road behavior. Most people will tailgate and stop there. Some will have road rage. My experience with suv driver was definitely road rage.

Its everyday for me. I have to keep timings on when I can drive so as to not have to get into altercations in traffic and waste more time.

Bangalore traffic is just HORRIBLE. You got all these IT company cabs that transport tens of thousands to and fro work every day+ other cabs and Autos- they're all unionized in a sense. So they're out for a fight. They know that if they bash or hit your car, they can get their buddies to stand by them so they drive rash all the time. And they will win it if it's a fight, ten of them will stop to support their friend. Not one auto guy will ever come by fare and if he takes you on board he thiks he's doing you a favor. Wonder when the govt will get this stuff cleared up. It is just UNBELIEVABLE here.
