World's longest bamboo walkway built in east China
Construction work on the world's longest bamboo walkway is now over in the eastern Chinese city of Jiujiang. The bridge is located in Poyang Lake National Nature Reserve. It's nearly five kilometers in length and three meters in width and consists of over 66,000 bamboo boards. All construction materials are environmentally friendly and waterproof. The walkway makes it safe and convenient for visitors and photographers to watch beautiful birds and other wildlife around the lake. It will be open to the public in mid-June.
