What's new

World INDIA is derived from Indus a Pakistani river, you shld rename India :Fawad Hussain ‏

. . . . .
I totally agree with Fawad Ch. on this.
Gangadesh is the right name.
We should all call it Gangadesh.
Only a person with a limited knowledge will call it a slang word.
It is "Ganga + Desh" ...Ganga is the bharat's holy river (stinky and polluted) but still holy for them. and Desh means the country.

Brassicaceae

I agree. India should be called "Gangu Dakish" because of river Ganga or "Nangu Daish" if you consider naked bhagats of Hindustan.
Ganga Desh sir :)

This is a very confusing issue. I don’t know why the name ‘India’ is proudly used when it was the British who marketed it as such.

Plus then you have the long term issues with similar terms like ‘East India’, ‘East Indies’, ‘West Indies’ & American Indians - India should do what Thailand did and stopped using Siam as its previous name so that it is a more appropriate term for them.

India, Bharat, Hindustan.....even the Indians are confused.
