World Cup 2015: Practice cancelled as players sent to detention!

.
If people of Pakistan really want their team to rise above the occasion, then rather than scolding your players...support them..These league matches are any way...not so imp..Pakistan will eventually go to the next round..But if they are not supported by your media and people, their morale will be down from such early stage of this world cup....
Our media scold their own when they lose and rise them up in the sky when they win. Its just the way they are taught from early childhood. Defeat is something they cannot handle rationally and logically.

Very little. Bad actually. In case of Indo-Pak match, the roads are a little clearer. Not the empty streets of our childhood, but still some relief. :D

Legit deal, you know how the saying goes,

"Practice makes worse".

These guys know their stuff.

. .
You remember that too? Good old memories :D
Now cricket is not important a sport in India. A match with Pakistan does not bring out the emotions they did about 10-20 years back. It is followed, yes - but UEFA is also getting good viewership. It's getting more diversified now. Thank God. :P

Pakistan team management has decided to call off their practice in Brisbane in order to have ‘emergency meetings’ with the players to inculcate a do-or-die mentality as every match is almost a knockout tie from here on in.

The team has lost both its Pool B matches so far, the first against arch-rivals India and the second against West Indies. Pakistan now face Zimbabwe, the UAE, South Africa and Ireland in their remaining four group fixtures and if they want to make sure they qualify for the last-eight without having to rely on other results, then they need to win all their remaining matches.

“We’ve decided to call off our practice on Monday in Brisbane because the team management wants to talk with players,” a team official told The Express Tribune. “The coaching staff did so throughout the flight from Christchurch to Brisbane; that is how concerned everyone is. Obviously, the players are down after losing back-to-back games and the match against the West Indies seemed to be over in the blink of an eye.”

Reports of ill-disciplined players and a fight with the coaching staff during the build-up to the World Cup campaign has not helped either and the poor performances have been a reflection of it as Pakistan continue to be outclassed.

In addition, the team has failed to bat out the entire 50 overs in both their World Cup matches, which is an added worry for the think tank as the batting continues to fail. “Sensing the situation we’re in, the team management wants to ensure that the players are in the right frame of mind ahead of their next match,” added the official. “The meeting will be held in groups, on a one-on-one basis and even as a whole unit to try and understand where things are going wrong.”

One of the main aims of these conversations is to ensure that the players get over the mental baggage that they will be carrying of the two defeats. “Head coach Waqar Younis and the rest of the coaching staff will try and help the players get over the mental scarring incurred against India and the West Indies,” he said. “Radical measures need to be taken to put our campaign back on track as every match we now play will be a do-or-die encounter.”

Meanwhile, the official stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman has called team manager Naveed Akram Cheema and given a message for the players, which will be shared with the team during the meeting.

The official refuted claims that the squad stands divided, saying that all problems have been resolved. “It’s not true that the squad is divided into groups but the fact is that our execution hasn’t been up to the mark,” he said. “Whatever the issues were between a member of the coaching staff and the players had been put to bed before our campaign started.”
