In conversation with Dr. Hina Sikandar, this episode explores civil services of Pakistan. What she graduated in? How CSS happened for her after that? Was her family supportive? Dis she took a break for CSS exam? How everyone reacted to her results? Why people fail in CSS? Why Pakistanis fail in English particularly? What are the Qs like in CSS interviews? How many total groups are in CSS? What are they? How many optional and compulsory courses are? Do score defines merit or does elected subject? Was she always interested in current affairs? How important current affairs is for CSS exam? How her experience with postal group has been like? Has she joined the services? Tune in to know more on IMO, her thought behind empowerment & financial inclusion content and why our gender conversations are very performative!

If her medical education was subsidised by the public tax payer then her dentist license must be revoked and all her tuition fee be reimbursed after a mandatory five year public service as a dentist in some remote town of Pakistan- --------.

However if it was paid by her parents then i got no objection as she can be a physician / nuclear physicist/ economist/nutritionist etc on her own expense and can abandon her profession in favour of becoming a clerk or puls vala but then who gonna fill the professional void ?-----.

If you think that is bad then have a look at this. 70% of female doctors aren't practicing in Pakistan.

Even if Hina has switched her field, at least she is working and being a productive member of the society unlike these bums who are sitting at their home and doing nothing.

Reimbursement plus a mandatory five year public service and then permanent revocation of their licences.

Want it back again ? Finance the uni education and hostel expenses of any student in pakistan and then practice your profession

Bravo! Since when a dentist becoming a daakia turned "productive" for a society? Dear , she made a choice and the state may have enraged Allah swt by taking loan on sood from imf/w.b to finance her choice . now stick to it or pay upfront to switch from a dentist to a daakia oh sorry, cream milk and honey of the society .

.
sorry no time to read them their actions speak loader then words

Standardized tests are only good at gauging how well an individual can perform at that exact standardized test. They are not a measure of anyone and are useless by most accounts. The academic world uses standardized tests out of a lack of more practical options to further sift through the candidates; SAT, GRE, GMAT, etc. CSS on the other hand has no such constraints. Then the fact that its modeled after the colonial era, i.e. archaic, and its curriculum is outdated and useless as it is. Why do you think the Pakistani bureaucracy is the joke that it is?

Pakistani bureaucracy is what it is by intentional design to deliver exactly the results desired.

Forget about CSS, look at the atrocious syllabus of most federal boards in our country. I live in Lahore and here an average FSC student is incapable of speaking English, lacks critical thinking, struggles to think logically and is completely clueless about what is happening in the world. Thank God that I was fortunate enough to study O and A levels.

And still didn't get what it takes to administer the country? Speaking proper english or learning/mastering empirical sciences ?

A perfect candidate for certain jobs and careers, I would suggest!

The new unified curriculum will only "improve" this situation as intended.

My statement was about Federal Board not CSS.

Who will teach this new syllabus? The same old teachers who themselves are a product of ratta system?
