I actually feel sorry for the mods. They pretty much have an impossible job to do while keeping members happy/content at the same time.

A diversity of opinions is perfectly fine in an open society like USA. Any American can hold and express any opinion under the sun. But that is not the topic here, is it?

What the individuals you mention have are different views, that is all. And they have the right to express them. You or I may not agree with them, but the only way to respond is by putting forth your own arguments and views.

So you are telling me that an American can openly threaten to murder his opponents, call for violence against other Americans and the Homeland Security and other agencies will counter this individual by "putting forth own arguments and views"?

Why dont you try to do this for a change and show us by example? Repeat few things that the mentioned individuals say and replace "Pakistan/Pakistanis" with the "USA/Americans". For example, make a video, repeat those few enticements and upload to youtube. Lets see the American freedom of expression that kicks in afterwards,

Without strict moderation the quality of the forum cannot improve. Reported posts must be dealt with quickly, members breaking the rules stopped swiftly. If this requires more mods, then have more mods.

In the meantime members can do their bit too. It seems some have become so engrossed in bickering, they forget to debate.

I read a topic today, created most likely by a troll. He labelled Shariah as the biggest mistake in Pakistani history. It took 48 posts before someone actually responded to the point at hand. The rest of the posts were accusing him of being Indian and trolling him. My post on the 5th page of the discussion was the first one to commit more than a few sentences to the topic.

Take 2 minutes, shut them down with facts. You do your self, your forum and your nation a favour.

In a Western hospital or clinic that kind of a doctor would have a very short licensing life.

We are on the topic. And you are defending the undependable, else we wont have thousands upon thousands of disappeared individuals kept in hidden CIA detention centers around the world. And also we wont have Ecuador seeking guarantees from the US for not awarding death sentence to Assange, should Ecuador hand him over to US.

There is no absolute freedom of expression anywhere in this world. And I do not complain. I believe that countries should be able to protect their national interests with whatever means.

Even if that means lying with a flat face and giving lectures to others about "not invading other countries" or "humans rights violations", "freedom of expression" belongs to that 5th generation warfare propaganda. It has successfully brainwashed so many individuals and hence achieved its goal.

In EU there is a new law, any online site (Facebook, twitter included), which operates on EU territory and which has any sort of hateful material (definition of it is very subjective) has maximum 48 hours to delete it. Failing to do so will result in very heavy fines in millions of Euros or even jail sentences.

Now this is, how Pakistan should protect its national interest as well!

You should ask the whiners, if they would rather have Indian version of "neutrality" applied on this forum and lets see what they have to say,

I have no problem with Pakistan, or PDF, serving its own interests in whatever manner they may wish to, and indeed I am record advocating for the same at all times, even in this thread (several posts above, if you care to find them).

Whether what they do is effective in achieving the stated or perceived goals is another debate entirely.

Because it is said to be an international forum. And I have been a member here for more than 2 years.

And you guys need to decide, whether you want PDF to be a Pakistani forum or international forum. If the first, then start by disallowing non-Pakistan related discussions. And ban foreign members other than Chinese and Turks.

It is a Pakistani forum that caters mostly to Pakistanis but has an international aspect to it.

I am presenting a very practical solution if the management wants less trolling and serious discussion about reforms in the country.

This is not a question of being fair or unfair. This is about using this board to get Pakistanis to talk about reforms. Having Indians engaging in our domestic issues greatly hampers that.

By all means appoint a rapporteur, not a moderator, for reform-oriented threads. Similarly appoint a rapporteur for non-Pakistani threads, to ensure that the new Pakistani members who have nothing to do but start rape threads are kept under control.

Well if you go through the posts, most of the Pakistani members are not asking "why others post here?", but why anti-Pakistani or anti-Muslim hate posts are allowed here?. More so by Indians or some other adversaries.

No, it is not. Not as long as there is perfect liberty for Pakistani members to post anti-Indian or anti-Hindu hate posts. And for the record, I am not a Hindu-first advocate, and have opposed the Hindutva-vadi members from the outset.
