Azad Hind Fauj or Indian National Army (INA) was undoubtedly one of the foremost freedom movements in the subcontinent against the British.
It was rooted in a socialist ideology, calling for equality of all Indians irrespective of their faith. The INA kept religion and faith strictly personal and called for ideological equality.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had an army of people that comprised of all regions of greater India including many brave commanders from present day Pakistan, Myanmar and Bangladesh.
I was very curious to ask this to the Pakistani members here.
Would Pakistanis have preferred the INA rule which strove for the collective pride of the subcontinent?
They even encouraged the Hindi-Urdu derived Hindustani as the national language in addition to all regions al languages.
Considering that we did not have a bitterness then between us and were all as one single region, would you have preferred such a rule?
Very interested to know what you all think about Netaji, Lt Shahnawaz Khan, Capt Mohan Singh etc.
