The nuclear member group itself is wrong. Why it is limited to only 5 countries having permanent membership in the UN(of which Britain, France and to a certain extent Russia has no importance in the current world scenario).
Even if India added in to this group it will only send a wrong message to other countries. You cannot assume that every country will be as responsible as India in the nuclear issue.
because they are the power houses of the current world, their national power can not be matched by anyother country. let me explan a little bit, when i said national power it refers to Military power, Political power and Economic power, up untill now, no country could challenge them. take Japan for example: Military power. without foreign support she can hardly defend herself. maybe someone will argue that Japan does build ship,planes and tanks, but that is only an illusion.
for US
a plane = engine + radar + airframe + ...;
engine = component A + component B +component C...;
component A = company A1 + company A2 + company +...
radar = ...;
airframe = ...;
finally, a plane = tens of thousands of US company.
for Japan,
a plane = engine + radar + airframe + ...;
engine = imported;
radar = imported;
airframe = assembled in Japan;
finally, a plane = some Japanese companies + tens of thousands of foreign company
and the something goes to the other 2. Japan is rich, but not a Economic power house. she is overly depending on import, and Japan will starved if she stop trading. what about Political power? hadrly any. can she "say" something to others, politely but hinting, "stop doing xxx or i will xxx".
Is there any advantage in becoming a member of this group.
