Will China and the US be at war next week? Beijing set to defy Hague ultimatum

In the case of war between the 2 Pakistan should push its full support to China. Bringing down the big tyrant known as USA down will be by far the best thing in the world to happen in a long time.

US isnt going to pick fight with China over Philippines or Taiwan, Japan maybe but i doubt that too. This is all posturing and nothing more.

We can fly all our shit half way around the world and STILL kick @ss. China has trouble navigating outside of the S.C.S. And China can 'claim' all they want. India 'claims' to have roughed up China a bit. INDIA ! How many Chinese died during those wars ? Tons. Canon fodder. It's a shame the militarys' hands were tied by politics, like now. And you call North Korea a 'win' ? HAHAHAHA !!:usflag:

You are taking it the wrong way. When i say US isnt going to go to war with somebody that matches US in strength and numbers, it does not mean i am doubting US capability. Unlike the fan boys there is a reason US is the sole superpower at the moment and its military strength parallels no one. However with that said it does not mean that US will go on picking fights over countries like Philippines and Taiwan etc. Both the US and China know the effects of such a conflict and this is nothing more than mere posturing.
But we all know this that had this been some other country and not China, US would have went guns blazing because they do not have the means to hit back to the main land. China on the other hand can and this can turn really ugly.

.
I bet that after China rejects the ruling US dares to do nothing other than "worry" or "deep concern" . Who would like to bet against it?
.
After the ruling, there will be a lot of statements coming from everybody.

However, nothing much will happen and life will go on.

And China will start another round of reclamation (or improvements) to their assets in the SCS.

The big countries will not fight with one another, they have too much to lose but small countries (i.e. their proxies) may be sacrificed if they are not careful.

Bringing down USA..no country in the world can bring down US not China never Pakistan

.
And the Chinese have fought who ?

Ask your indian buddies.

Your economy is a debt timebomb and an export dependent economy. Chinese banks are looking down the barrel of a staggering RMB 8 trillion - or $1.7 trillion - worth of losses. We will see how it stands up to sanctions. You have zero right to impede the sea lanes with your silly maps and man made islands. Stating otherwise is Chinese hogwash. won't happen and we will make sure of it.

What do you think will happen if China dumps all her US bonds?

I've got a feeling that this time it won't be limited to war of words. If a conflict in the SCS takes place China should keep her vessels close to the shore and rely on her DF-21s for attack. Instead of directly engaging the US, China should teach the US minions in this region a lesson and that will be more practical and fruitful.

.
Yeah,China and US will be involved in a nuclear war next week.
And after the war,India will become the NO.1 of the world.
How about the other countries?
Well,England will become NO.2,Us will become NO.3,Russia will become NO.4.......
Then what will indians do after they become the supersupersuper...power?
They will be very proud of this,I think.

.
Sanctions only work on countries with fundamentally weak economies, such as Philippines or some sub-Saharan African country. Countries like China with huge leverage in global economy and trade simply isn't going work, unless you are asking for a trade war--which defeats the purpose of sanctions since it is about 'hurting the other while you are unscathed'. Are you implying US wants to risk it all and start a trade war for the Philippines? which brings us to another important question--is it really about the Philippines? I think we all know that answer to that one.

In regards to the trade volume, 7 trillion or 10 trillion, most of it is China's economic bloodstream, which is why it is very ironic that you (US) or whoever is worried more than China! China should do something to protect its trade from threats from US and hostile US-client states....oh wait, it is. And now we have the US and its client states crying.

LOL you thought sanctions I spoke about were against Philippines and not China? I need to remember to be break my posts down further to make sure you don't get easily confused. Ask Russia how sanctions work even if they threaten Europe. Your last bit- that was funny. ha

.
Severe sanctions are forthcoming against China and that's where I see it going first. There is almost $7 trillion or so of trade that goes through that route, and it can't be left to a chinese hegemony based on ancient maps. There are laws of the sea that china has signed as a participating member, and laws have to be followed when we have so much commerce depending on it.

Stop being naive. You think it is one way traffic as far as "severe" sanctions are concerned? Both China and the US conduct a huge amount of trade with each other and it is beneficial to both. No, the US isn't going to war with China over South China sea. The US may like to stir things up in the neighborhood against China, but going directly to war? Not even on the menu. An asteroid hitting planet earth has more chance than US China war.

.

They would kill off their own economy by destabilising the world. Then thereafter once U.S and Europe recover- never will they ever work with China.

Only internet kiddies talk about dumping US bonds at some large numbers as some game or threat. Russians have been sanctioned, they have not got rid of all their US bonds, or in any great numbers. Countries buy US bonds for stability and parking their money in our economy. Understand that and you won't go about making silly threats.

Naive is thinking an actual war will break out. Smart thinking is that sanctions will be levied if haque comes out against China.

China is a signatory of laws that govern the seas/commerce, and the body at haque is the arbitrator of the laws. I understand it may be tough for you to swallow as a Pakistani and ally of China- but these are rules of the civilized world that civilized countries have signed on to. If India were to use Chinese logic of using ancient maps then Pakistan would cease to exist. There is over 7 trillion of commerce following though SCS and we are not about to make China the gatekeeper, period.

First, it is not "haque", but Hague.

Secondly, as far as international laws and treaties are concerned, the Americans themselves have set a terrible example by making exceptions and breaking these laws. I don't think you are in a position to lecture the world about adhering to international laws. It sounds hypocritical and is difficult to be taken seriously.

The US has set a terrible example by invading nations on falsely fabricated lies. It has broken the trust of the world by doing things unilaterally and it has broking all international conventions. Today, much of the misery can be traced back to the terrible decisions taken by Bush and Blair.

As far as land grabbing is concerned, your own country the US would not be on the map today because this land belonged to the natives.

China will do whatever it deems fit in its national interest. If the South China sea has to become Chinese territory it will become exactly that. I don't think your country can do anything to change this other than rallying a few countries in the region and fly over the islands.

Outside of correcting my typo(thank you), rest of your post is a rant about your anti american feelings and self serving opinions. For you- there is no actual debate about laws governing sea lanes.

Ironical you attribute America to doing something that you encourage China to do. Which tells me that you are not about "laws", and rather about being more chinese than the chinese themselves. Albeit for yourself, you did not land up in Beijing, no no no-you choose christian dominated/western ideology to seek refuge in. go figure.

.
It seems that I need to make another bet that no sanctions will be imposed against each other. China sanctioned some individual western countries and the west sanctioned China in 1989. But back in the 80s China was almost like nothing economically but now China is the biggest industrial nation, biggest manufacturing nation ,biggest trading nation...in the world, China is the biggest trading partner of most countries in today's world. Sanction against China? The other way around is more likely.

China, as the biggest trading nation and market in the world. If a trade war breaks out, the first people to go bankrupt will be US big companies and bankers and since those are the very people who actually control US government, they will in turn have the US president removed, even killed, as they did several times in the US history.

The whole world's economy is more and less revolving around China now. Sanction against China ? It would be much more easier to sanction against God.

Don't thank me. The typo was to be expected from someone who is only finger pointing at others, but not having a look in the mirror.

Don't take every bit of criticism as a conspiracy or anti-Americanism. We know that the Americans are made to believe that anyone who criticizes their country is an enemy or anti-American, but calm down with the rhetoric. For me, there is certainly debate about laws governing sea lanes, but this debate can be only be constructive when the opposing debater isn't biased. Your accusations against China reek with bias for obvious reasons. These accusations and lies are as old as the hills.

The thing is that you have no moral authority to point fingers at others. Today, your own staunchest ally is accusing you of treachery and lies. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-36724704 What else is there left to say?

I was born and bred in a Western society. I didn't take refuge in a Western society. You need to get your facts right because your "facts" are thus far all based on false assumptions. Also, this Western society that I live in doesn't kill nor discriminate against its minority citizens. You need to get your house in order because all this finger pointing is rather hypocritical.

You cannot provide justice to your own people and are accusing China of land grabbing.

Really, you showing me a picture of civil disobedience, a hallmark of our democracy, as something bad for us?
And I'm bias because I have stated an ongoing legal arbitration? You do know that it is not an American court that will decide the case brought against China. Question is if they disagree with China, will you respect the decision, or continue try being more chinese than chinese themselves

"we are not about to make China the gatekeeper, period." Man, you got love Yankees' logic. Who think you are? Last time I check, the SCS is called South China Sea, and China have 3 big militarized islands in the center. Beside bitching how close Chinese fighter poking your spy plane's ***, I don't see Yankees did anything meaningful thing.
BTW, There will be a black revelation break out soon in your home.(Literally) Why don't you go out and look out your window and worry about your own law enforcement's life first before you worry who should be what.
Ohhhh..unless your are black,,,then you should watch out the white cops...they will shot you at point blank 10 times

Tell me why US just blatantly rejected the ruling made by the same court you are talking about here.
