What's new

Why the army has become pacifist

Because Pakistanis have an inferiority complex towards Afghans. You suck up to them and worship them.

This is not an army exclusive thing, you can't pin this to the army. Go on any social media site and you will see Pakis simping for Afghans and even defending them by cursing themselves and their own people, despite pretty much Afghans despising them to genocidal levels, and holding racial superiority beliefs over them.

All in all, you are only tough against Indians.
Idk what part of social media is that, bro. The ordinary people, except the tiktok crowd, know afghans for what they are. And the Pakistani people hating afghans won't stop the bombings. Bombing them back will

Civilian Volunteer units the only way forward, then?

If the PA isn't bothering
This can quickly go awry. We've seen what happens when well trained and well armed militias have nothing to do. If we adopt that strategy, you are looking at a strong armed separatism movement in the very least.

What is their point anymore?
It seems KPK Police and FC are doing more than they are
You know what's happening on Twitter right now? They are running trends about how the KP police is incompetent to shift blame off themselves onto KP police, Imran Khan etc. Absolutely Sickening. One polishya here put laughing emojis while making fun of KP police's incompetence as the reason for 100 people that were martyred and hundreds injured.

It's not like military bases were never attacked so many times in this country.

It's a process - hate will lead to social awareness, which will translate to swift retaliation

Start educating public about Afghanistan from the usual rhetoric.
#1 Afghanistan is not a graveyard of empires..

#2 Afghanistan people are not holier than you. Afghans didnt bring/convert you to islam .
OR
We could bomb them back? Just saying.......

It's time we put the soldiers into fight and let ISPR take a rest.

.
Full fledged retaliation is on... Includes all new platforms, won't name them of f course. If it isn't in the news, doesn't mean it's not being done. And it was being done on a surge level even before the Peshawar attack.
Stupid not to reveal it, public confidence is very low.

The army has an ever increasing frontline, their DHA. They will conquer every inch of Pakistan and create DHA for us with their bricks and mortar.

.
We lost in 1971 but we had the balls to launch preemptive strikes on india we launched a covert invasion of india in 1965, what happened to that army irrespective, were they successful or not. Atleast they did something back then, and now we are getting our asses kicked by those dumb cavemen afghans, the firepower we possess is way more than what is needed to fix those cavemen, but still why no action is being taken, @PanzerKiel

The key to launch all those bombs were encoded into a precious watch that IK sold from Tosha Khana.

It's probably a good idea to have it on the news for morale purposes

What is "surge level"?

Stupid not to reveal it, public confidence is very low.

If both of you have already read the comments by other members in this thread, then you should have got reply to your questions before asking.

Anyways Military, being a part of this society, is impacted in the same way as the society from the manipulative role of social media. Social media has been ‘weaponized’ as a tool of hybrid warfare by the enemy states and enemy also employ modern techniques and divisive tactics using social media in modern times. Militaries and security setups need to do a lot to avert these threats. In the best interest of the country, it is important to use the social media in a positive way and neutralize the manipulative or negative impact of social media.

Social media can also have negative effects on individuals employed in security agencies, military and other sensitive organization which include:

1. Operational Security Risks. Individuals (military/intelligence) may inadvertently reveal sensitive information about their location, movements, and activities on social media, which can be used by the adversaries to plan attacks or ambushes.

2. Cybersecurity Risks. Selected persons may be targeted with malware or other cyber attacks through social media, which can compromise the security of military networks and systems, especially when its known that an operation is in progress and data exchange is occurring continuously in certain sectors.

3. Distraction from Mission. Individuals may become distracted from their mission by spending too much time on social media, which can reduce their effectiveness and increase the risk of injury or death. Its affects an individual (officer/soldier) psychologically. Most covert missions succeed based on their secrecy in many domains (units allotted/weapons in that theater of war/ high ranking officials in area)

4. Psychological Risks. Individuals may be exposed to traumatic images and videos on social media, which can contribute to the development of conditions such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Its interlinked with above factor but has different consequences on individual level.

5. Spread of Misinformation. Military persons may be exposed to misinformation on social media, which can lead to confusion and mistrust, and negatively affect their decision making. This is very common nowadays.

6. Risk to Privacy. Soldiers may share personal information on social media, which can put them at the risk of being targeted by adversaries or stalkers.

7. Temptation to Share Sensitive Information. Soldiers may be tempted to share sensitive information on social media, which can put their unit and mission at risk. PK resists this temptation

The above are just to name a few.

Following are the negative effects of news in media and social media when the news from Military comes out regarding its operations, causalities, terrorists killed, targets achieved, progress made etc :

1. Propaganda and Disinformation. Social media is used to spread disinformation, misinformation, half-truths and extremist ideologies by various actors such as individuals, extremist groups, and insurgent organizations, etc. These elements use social media to disseminate propaganda and false information to manipulate public opinion and shape the discourse around sensitive national issues. This can undermine public trust in institutions and create divisions within communities. Fake news is the biggest challenge the modern digital society is facing.

2. Shaping Public Opinion. Social media is a very effective tool to shape public opinion which could be used positively to develop consensus on national issues but unfortunately, this is mostly being used by malicious elements to shape public opinion against government and other national institutions, including military. Artificial Intelligence, machine learning and their use in "deep fake" has made it nearly impossible to detect fake videos and audios by common available means.

We have seen this negative image building campaigns during Military's operations around the western border areas and even polio vaccination drives.

3. Mobilization and Recruitment.
Social media has also been used to mobilize and recruit individuals for various causes, including extremist groups and insurgent organizations. Social media platforms provide an easy and effective way for these groups to reach a large audience and to identify and target potential recruits.

4. Citizen Journalism. Social media has also provided an avenue for citizen journalists and activists. In some cases, this can be helpful to bring quick information and contribute towards a more informed citizenry, but authenticity and reliability of such news is always an issue. On PDF, its the birth of a thread based on only 1 tweet and 20 tweets means 20 more threads.

5. Polarization. Social media has increased polarization in the society by allowing like-minded individuals to find and reinforce each other's views, creating filter bubbles and echo chambers that further reinforce the existing beliefs. This can lead to increased hostility and reduced tolerance in the society. The reason why members leave PDF , e.g. Irfan Baloch as recent example since the division becomes too high to handle and two formidable sides spring up.

I don't think the entire military is loyal to him.
It was sarcasm, bro. Cuz they are still sitting on their arse, blaming IK for terrorism a year out of office.

The chain of command exists and it would override any loyalties to IK
And apparently any loyalties to Pakistan, as well. cough Bajwa cough

Typical PK 🥳

ungle de k ghayab ho jayo 😂

In order for a state to wage a war of aggression it needs to:

be politically stable/have national consensus

be financially robust (war is a very expensive proposition)

be wise in choosing its opponent

^SunTzu shite

remember, Pakistan's goal here would be to not just take punitive military action against India, but to capture/absorb, and then to keep and retain a large swathe of land.

also, contrary to popular (emotional) belief in Pk, not all Kashmiris here are clamoring either for independence, or for separating from India exclusively. If you ask Indian Kashmiris who feel strongly about this, they aspire to unify JK, AJK and GB.. separate from both India and Pakistan and make money off rivers flowing both to India and Pak.. oh and from their carpet industry too

"K banega P" ..

....if ever there was a pipe dream :coffee:

Because bombing Military targets of a standing army is one thing.
Bombing Insurgents hiding withinh civilian population is another.
Civilian deaths in Afghanistan will have consequences that we donot want.

People need to realize difference between war and counter insurgency.

If TTP had an airbase, Ammunition garrison, or Barracks. Trust be they woukd have been bombed day and night.
you cant do that to villages with woman and children living between them being a Professional Army.

That's just one aspect of it. What about conducting IBOs, assassinating TTP functionaries in Afghanistan, sabotaging their sources of income, arresting local facilitators, diplomatic arm twisting of the afghan taliban?

What Bajwa did, is history now. It’s still hurting Pakistan, but doesn’t mean you all start dissing Pakistan.

The adversary have made a huge dent into Pakistan psyche in terms of 5th gen warfare.

Suggest all members to be very careful and not play into the hands of enemies and diss Pakistan. PDM are thieves, take them to the cleaners, but don’t join hands with your enemies in dissing Pakistan.

Pakistan is going through a tough moment.

Know your enemies as of today. PDM, TTP, Neighbor to the East.
