There has been no missile tests for past few months now any idea why

Bhai jab zarorat ho gi to chola lain gye.
Nothing to worry about

Initially it used to be great but unless they made a Inter continental missile no point to test and waste resources

Launching missile is not thrilling as it used to be. Those were the days .. alas , now we must strike for that next announcement for high altitude defense system we are waiting for

SAMs, yes that is what we want

Yup just because India also awaits to test fire one!

Wait till the Nirbhay cruise missile is test fired in the coming weeks then you will surely come to see a couple of missile tests from your side as well!

Because Pakistan's missile program has reached the heights of maturity and sophistication.

"Testing" means "validation of theoretical measures" ....

Nations who test their missiles a lot usually have shitty missile programs (like india) and have a long way to go in achieving total confidence in deploying their missile program.

As your missile program matures, you tend to test less.

When was the last time U.S tested any ballistic missile? Exactly.

Current inventory of Pakistan missile forces is up to the mark, ready to be fired, well-tested, matured, and deployed with confidence.

Unless Pakistan comes up with a new project...such such a longer range weapon---there is little need to test anything.

But I don't believe Pakistan will develop a longer range missile. They don't need to. Pakistani missiles already cover entire Indian Subcontinent and even beyond.

Why would Pakistan will be bothered by an indian nirbhay?

india is working on stealthy, terrain hugging nuclear cruise missiles? Oh wow---Pakistan achieved that capability a DECADE ago.

I think the appropriate question would be, "why hasn't Pakistan tested anything new" such as longer-range and improved variants of Babur and Ra'ad? I think the cause has a lot to do with financial problems with money going into more immediate needs and less being available for R&D and testing of new systems. If and when obligations (such as Waziristan) are concluded, we'll see these programs back on track.

Personally, I'd like to see a renewed focus on indigenous air-to-surface weapons such as Ra'ad. Perhaps improve Ra'ad with an even stealthier frame and additional range? Perhaps invest in developing more tactical systems similar to J-SOW, SAGEM's AASM, etc? Perhaps think about developing indigenous AShM and ASW torpedoes (perhaps rocket-powered torpedoes?), etc. Maybe put some money into an indigenous short-to-medium vertical-launch SAM system that could be used on ships, thus allowing for all service branches to have a common SAM?

may be army is still concentrating on strategic assets than conventional...

Turkish Friend we are testing our missile because we add so much technology in to it.US did that long time ago.We need to mature like that.

On topic:May money is a problem

You see, most Pakistani missiles are assembled with N Korean and Chinese parts. Unfortunately for reasons beyond their control, their stocks are getting pretty lowl!! They need to keep their reserves intact for the next war over Kashmir - Operation Gibraltar II.

Ok, seriously, why in the name of God should they always 'retaliate' by firing a missile every time India does? Doesn't prove anything, and doesn't make sense, does it?

LGM-30 Minuteman - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Minuteman-III missiles are regularly tested with launches from Vandenberg Air Force Base in order to validate the effectiveness, readiness, and accuracy of the weapon system, as well as to support the system's primary purpose, nuclear deterrence. The safety features installed on the Minuteman-III for each test launch allow the flight controllers to terminate the flight at any time if the systems indicate that its course may take it unsafely over inhabited areas. Since these flights are for test purposes only, even terminated flights can send back valuable information to correct a potential problem with the system.

The 576th Flight Test Squadron is responsible for planning, preparing, conducting, and assessing all ICBM ground and flight tests.

I guess they have not reached your maturity level yet.

If you think "harder", it may strike you that BOTH countries' organizations HAVE to test new and old weapon systems periodically. If you look at the launch dates (of same Pakistani systems), they occur with the interval of one year most of the times.
Heck, we could say that too, that India 'retaliates' every time Pakistan conducts missile tests.

It is just the coincidence of launch dates, nothing more. There won't be a "retaliative" launch unless both countries are at the brink of a war and the launch is conducted during a military exercise.
