Why Pak army not interested in largest wheeled IFV and APC

As many countries around us buying latest Wheeled APC why Pak army is lack luster in this aspect only handful lazaar we had most of M 113 Old scrap we are using with very less protection against RPG etc

In market there are few new techs available

3)The development of a Trophy 2 system has been announced in 2014 and is a cooperation between RAFAEL (developer of the Trophy 1), IMI (developer of Iron Fist), and IAI.

Well I think Pakistan is lacking the important part of wheeled APC and IFV for Rapid action in war

PA should consider Finnish army wheeled APC or Stryker like APC IFV we are also lacking we are miss using money on tanks which are good now

But still we have enough money to buy stupid LY 80 is same range of FM 90 And Spada 2000 important is we lack vision we don't have common sense what is important
Putting all eggs on one pot is stupidity and this is what armed forces do

The LY-80 is the Army's low alt AD and focused on its mobile deployment needs, FM-90 is for a different threat.. the Spada defends PAF bases.

There was a need to tackle standard IAF cluster stand off munitions and a2g tv/ir guided airborne anti tank threats.

The next logical step is the Shorads replacement with a system capable of shooting down arms and even lgbs.

The longer ranged systems are the PAFs problem to decide on.

As for the "heavy" APC, the wheeled vehicles have their advantages on the urban and semi arid environments, along with generally better range and speed. But in the deserts of thar and bogs of Punjab- the M-113 is a very effective transport especially considering our required counter offensive advances planned.

What is needed is something for the more baked plains of Southern Punjab and upper Sindh.

Wheeled APC/LAV has following advantages -

It can support both unconventional /conventional operation.
PA is mostly engaged in counter insurgency role.
4 wheeled vehicles are more economic as it consume less fuel.
Light armored vehicle LAV has added protection against IED blast.
Technology transfer is ease,ie, if you buy 300 Cobra LAV from turkey, Autocar will provide plat.

Therefore, total 300 LAV can be assembled in Pakistan. All these are equally useful for UN peace keeping operation enabling foreign currency earning for a country.
