1) simple reason is, MQM prepares for five years, all the time MQM is organising into new areas and is always in touch with its voters

all other parties wake up 2-3 months before elections

2) MQM has a complex system of units, sectors, and MQM has central comittee which monitors every thing from the the dispersal of funds to activity of every worker to every sector, unit level and every decision is taken by rabta comittee members which has people from all parts of the country, from sindh, balochistan, gilgit baltistan, punjab, sindh

you can see MQM is more like an institution, an organisation

3) MQM's relief work is best in Pakistan, in an earthquake in gilgit baltistan, the recent quake in Balochistan, Flood relief work MQM had established the network of KKF ambulances in as far away places like abbottabad, and in sindh

4) MQM has produced the best mayor of pakistan who did record number of developments in a shortest period of time and dramatically changed karachi cityscape

5) MQM empowers poor underprivileged young people and doesnt ask for party funds

6) MQM has a system of check and balance and all its MNAs and MPAs, even union counsel members are accountable to the central authority of MQM, all MQM MNAs, MPAs

in conclusion: hard working educated middle class common pakistanis form the core of MQM
