Why Japan was never recognized as superpower?

. .
The term superpower became popular post WWII. The same question can be asked about Germany too

.
Japan and Germany were superpowers before world wars broke out. They were ahead of what the Allies were for a long time. Look at the history of victories Japanese have had against European colonists. They adapted the latest standards and continued to refine them, making them a superpower compared to Dutch, British, Beligians, French etc all of whom have been thrashed by them.

However, the official Superpower word was used only after WW2.

Why Japan was never recognized as superpower?

Because Japan did not build up any sort of military or diplomatic muscle after WW2. It was part of their post-WW2 reform.

Plus they became rich in the 80s and lost economic growth in the 90s. So there wasn't much time to use their economic clout to build up their military power even if they wanted to.

USA was super power even before ww2

read history . USA had sanctioned japan during ww2 thats why Japanese attacked on pearl harbor .

Japan wasn't a supee power, its a regional power.

Everything From military to gdp isn't comparable , also Japan doesn't meddle in other countries , their military are nerfed to the point they can't venture out of their territory

True, the only great power that Japan won against was the Russian before the WW2 and China at that time was a backward agricultural country. But the war with the falling Russian Empire almost bankrupted Japan and had to mediated by US to end the war. If the Russian were insisted to keep fighting, the outcome might be different. I only consider Japan was a great power, not a super power as OP asked.

Usa wasnt a super power infact world wars make her super power ...

Real history is during world when all big countries were destroying each other US was profiting by becoming the only major nation out war zone ... US was not part of world war 1 and get included in war 2 only after pearl harbour ... So us was selling weapons to almost both sides which make her richest country post world war

Tell the Koreans, Chinese or others in
South Pacific by Chinese seas that joke

Good day to all, Tay.

Limited inland resources, no lust for ultimate power, no oppressive by nature, and bit of Geographically isolated...are the terms that made Japan, what Japan is.

The U.S. was part of WW1 and got involved after the Zimmerman Telegram by the Germans.

Nopes, the U.S. was just a world power like the other countries including Japan, Germany, Britain, etc. prior to WW1. Superpower after WW2 was pretty much applied to U.S. and Soviet Union as dominant in almost everything over other countries.

.
Because it isn't a full fledged power with military power. It only has economic influence and maybe cultural influence.
