I wonder why India chose Japan to build its HSR, it's just because their political tension with China or Japan indeed offered better terms than China did.

I wonder why India chose Japan to build its HSR, it's just because their political tension with China or Japan indeed offered better terms than China did.

I heard, in India, Japan is offering a better term than China.

Japan let the local companies to build the railway and Japan role is just as advisors.

Pretty much Japan has a very low involvement in the project, except providing tech and train.

But of course, such a thing has positive and negative things.

Positive thing, India is able to do it by themselves.

Negative thing, it's not "Made in Japan".
