I was reading a BBC article, showing all the 11 Terrorists group in Muslims nations.

However I was surprised none are operating in Iran?

How do Iran manage this, dispute the negative criticism they receive from Western media and when countries around them are affected as well?

Mainly because they export it all, and end up with nothing to consume at home.

I think its more to the fact Iran having a strong leader.

Just like Saddam Hussein was for Iraq when he was leader, he kept the nation under control from terrorists.

Can you please tell how many Shia among them ?

well Terrorism is something All countries use for their benefit ... there is no exception to that

The population is on average quite young (~25) and well educated, so there's really no ideological foundation for terrorism, although many disagree with the government and its policies.

Because militant groups in Iran either a) work for the state to suppress internal dissent, or b) are not international in scope but are focussed entirely on attacking the regime.

The map you posted shows groups that either pose a threat or have threatened cross-border or cross-regional attacks and target foreign (namely Western) interests in those countries aswell as the state itself. No such threat exists from Iran.

Also, militant groups that target Iran are cross-border in nature and do not control territory inside the country, unlike in all those other places. The MEK (MKO) is based mainly in Western Europe and North America with a small refugee camp in Iraq and allegedly infiltrates Iran via Azerbaijan Rp (this has not been proven) PJAK is based in Iraqi Kurdistan and Jeash al-Adl (previously Jondallah) and Ansar al-Furqan (previously Harakat al-Ansar) are based in Pakistan. These are the only major terrorist groups that have successfully penetrated Iran within recent years. The Balouchi groups are the only Islamist ones, the others are secular or ethnic.

Baluchistan? The IRGC killed in car bombs, the scientists killed by MOSSAD, the iranian pilgrims killed by the coward zionist Al Qaeda car bombs, the iranian spring...

Maybe there is a group along side iran/baluchistan border...
