Preserving their "democratic credentials" for the future so they can say "look, we never sided with aamriat when it took action against PTI, we were always for democracy" etc. etc.

All these two-faced ******** have to do is to tell the establishment to backoff and hold elections if they truly were the guardians of democracy.

I must say, as much as the establishment has this reputation of being the "orchestrators", they got totally played by PDM (Zardari and Sharifs) because all the debris is on the military, every bit of it. In this case, they have rushed into this pile of dung headlong not realizing the massive damage it has done to their reputation with the awaam for decades to come. This is the one bit that hurts me the most personally (in addition to the deaths of scores of Pakistanis).

So despite all the fury of people here and on the streets, come next election, the same faces will be our ministers, governors, MNAs/MPAs. No wonder the refrain "aik Zardari sab pe bhaari" + NS in this round of machinations.

Khawaja delivered excellent speech few years ago...but after software update he lost his credibility. Biggest problem with PMLN..they make " biayania" and then party leadership went to sleep.

Why would they wanna admit to their vote bank that they're thieves' and barbarians??

They have a history of hiding behind controversy and claiming other's success for political milege.

Because they are right
I doubt it's PDM doing all this

It's the army..on record army has said it won't allow elections (or provide manpower)

If I was in the govt I would stop funding for army if it can't provide man power for key activities just like how the army does all over the world

The generals used to control Nawaz and Zardari. But now, they they control the generals.

These two have become immensely rich from looting the country for decades and they’re probably worth US$ 20-30 billion or more each. Zardari is probably much richer than Nawaz. They can buy any general they want.

The generals who backed Nawaz and Zardari are retired and gone. New ones who are appointed want to make their own money. They’re appointed with the approval of these two and then act like servants. For example, Whiskey is said to have signed a contract with Nawaz Sharif before being appointed as COAS and is now taking orders from Maryam Nawaz.

For Pakistan to progress the power of these two crime families needs to be totally broken by jailing/hanging them and confiscating all their property in the country and abroad.

And the military needs to be brought under constitutional control.
