Why does Delhi have more perverts?

All the horrifying, beastly and barbarian acts of rape come out of Delhi mostly..we don't get to hear violence on women on such a degree from any other place in India..the one reason I feel is UP walas from nearby villages..UP and biharis are there in mumbai too..but they dont dare do such acts as they are very far away fromntheir homes where as delhi might hardly be a couple of hundred kilometres at most.

Moreover Mumbai may not give them the feeling of home as it has cosmopolitan culture with some Marathi influence.

When these UP walas and biharis who are not used to see women move around freely in their villages come to delhi they see a different world and behave in the most barbaric ways losing their control.

Yes i have.. Yeah i should have put it in a better way.. Delhi and Bombay usually get more media exposure because of their status, didn't mean to say Bombay necessarily has high number of reported rape cases.. My bad

Delhi is tragedy .Proximity of UP and Bihar is taking a good toll on that territory.In addition you can see several types of nationalities in there from South Asia and SE Asia .Most of them are refugees .

There are around 30 crore people in UP and Bihar alone .Means 1/4the of entire Indian population came from that two states.

Mumbai also gets equal coverage if not more its just Mumbaikars are more open minded than Delhiites when it comes to women issues . I have many friends who have visited Mumbai they always praise it by saying "we can wear anything we want and go anywhere at any time nobody judge us , we don't feel uneasy there but in Delhi its a different story."

Being a Delhiite I used to get offended but not anymore.

Anyway i'm not very comfortable discussing these numerous rape threads in length.. They just seem to be troll threads most times and tragically desensitizing this grave crime

have to agree with u here, them being in the NCR think the whole India revolves around them, I have travelled length and breadth of India and found people in and around delhi are rude and bullish in general

I too don't like to over discuss this issue because as u said it desensitizes us.But I was just curious to know why only Delhi has these many rape cases and that too brutal ones

New Delhi is not a state .Delhi is a mini India but majority are from UP ,Bihar due to proximity .Nope foreigners didnt created any problem.But these diversity contributes insensitive approach ,people dont even know their neighbour or their real intention. Majority of rape issues are always connected people came from UP or Bihar .

I have seen women sitting in seedy bars at 2 AM in Mumbai, something unthinkable in the rest of the country.. There is also something about Mumbai, the energy just hits you. Delhi is more laid back- the dehati population is slightly higher.
