Why are you a proud and patriotic Pakistani?

I swear to God, I do hate Pakistanis sometimes.. but never this country.. sometimes when i travel (alot) my eyes fill with tears when I see the beauty of this country..

So true. Exact thoughts.

There are many lazy Pakistanis even here in US who want free money, who never went to school despite so much opportunities, many crook Pakistani car salesman or lawyers, despite of being less in numbers our average income in America is just half of what an average Indian make, so will @qamar1990 start blaming America? Similarly there are crooks in America from many different regions and countries.

Few questions I have that really have started to bother me and I want other people’s opinion:
-What is there to be proud of?
-What has pakistan done for its average citizens?
-pakistan seems like its been a play ground for a handful of elite families that probably number in few 100?
-Why are you loyal to Pakistan?
Few thoughts:

I used to be a very proud and anti Indian and highly patriotic Pakistani.
over the past several years I am starting to feel like Pakistan is a sham and a fraud..it might’ve had noble beginnings but Pakistan has never been a country that has been able to provide justice to a ordinary Pakistani citizen for its entire existence without the following ( not justice just a way to make their miserable life’s better)
- a phone call To some elitist or an elitist goon.
- bribe
I do not see Pakistan changing for the the better unless a major uprising by its peasant class the 99.9999 percent whos only purpose is to be born and live a miserable live and die including members of my own family...

im not Indian, I was born in Pakistan raised in America.

add on
The average Pakistani is born into a miserable existence, lives his live without ever reaching his or her potential and dies never doing anything or being able to achieve anything becuase they are hostages of this state that only caters to the elite.
Nobody can prove this above statement wrong
I can understand your point and I agree with you completely...and I see no light at the end of the tunnel.
Corruption, over population, bigotry, illiteracy, no freedom of speech , impatient people, religious fanatics, failed economy, poverty and the list goes on.
The situation is too bleak and depressing...The only hope for pakistan is to make it secular, giving a lot of priority to education with english as medium of instruction in schools ...it will take decades even with those reforms for pakistan to see any visible change .

Dear Indians:
Could you please stay away from this thread? We see the ugliness of your society and state every day in the media.

I am a proud Pakistani. I am proud because of the idea behind Pakistan. Pakistans strong Muslim identity, its mixture between nation state and pan-islamic movement are main things for my love for Pakistan. Pakistan personifies for me my mothers tongue, my culture, my favourite food, the love of my late Nani and yes without my Pakistani background I wouldn't have the love for my religion I have today. Pakistan ka matlab kya?

I think in Pakistans case we should differentiate between the corrupt politicians, the fat feudal lords and the superstitious population that adheres to Hindu traditions and tends to tribal stupidity. This is the State of Pakistan, the idea is better than the actual implementation. We have justice issues like every other country. But the talk is about Pakistan, so please don't derail the thread with whataboutisms.

The main problem is that most people like their echo chambers. They only want to here how great everything is but do not want to see behind the facade.

And please be honest to yourself: if every Pakistani would get a visa for a Western country, 90% would immediately leave on the same day rather than doing their best to make Pakistan a better place! It's no shame in pointing obvious things out.

Pakistan needs to implement its state motto properly: Faith, Discipline, Unity

- no Mullahism --> Islam is simple!
- no tribalism ("What he is not your cousin/not a Pathan/Punjabi..?")
- no toxic socialist, communist, feminist ideas imported from other countries
- FREE MARKET ECONOMY! You want to start a business? Just start a business!
- stop senseless regulation and taxation
- Some Pakistani posters demand a dictatorship for Pakistan, we have million dictatorships in our homes already. No need for a state run dictatorship! Don't produce children just for showing off or using them as ATMs. Don't force them to marry people they don't want or to choose professions they don't like. Don't expect from one rich cousin to provide for the whole family
- stop hating on ethnic minorites
- Provide Free Market education no need for government mismanagement
- Provide Free Market health care no need for government mismanagement
- Provide a justice system based on Islamic principles not this wannabe Oxford lawyer system

Whataboutisms like: "the jews do ugly things too" or "What about India" don't improve the situation in Pakistan. The betterment of Pakistan should be our collective focus and not the thousandth creepy Indian Facebook PM meme.

May Allah protect our Pakistan, may Allah help us to improve ourselves, to do Jihadun Nafs against our egos and may Allah help us to make Pakistan a better place for everybody.

Pakistan Zindabad :-)

this misguided mentality is the reason we are still a shit hole country.... either you guys are of the elite scums who never let this country get anywhere in its history and kept its people as hostages basically...or you must be aligned with them some how...

You misunderstood my post, I was not endorsing the other poster's "low caste" BS logic, I was only saying that many people irrespective of their country of origin and the social economic class back in their home country can develop a negative feeling about their country of origin due to the rigid failed state model in their countries of origin.

My reasons for being proud of and loyal to Pakistan;

  • I am not subjugated to any non-Muslims.
  • I am free to practice Islam and my traditions.
  • I am free to make money.
  • The honor and prestige of my family, especially that of the women, is safe.
  • My family and I are at peace.
  • I am free to bear arms to defend me and mine.

This is sufficient for me.

death penalty for any financial corruption against the tax payers.... these elite scums these beaurocrats and generals and senators every single one of these people have to pay.... they are the cause of the misery nobody else, not AMERIKA...

Please gujjar saab calm down, I wasnt directing this at anyone, just my observation. If you dont like it you can go fuvk urself bad nasal insaan.
smd, your barking and trying to spread sectarianism and triblism is also problem... people like you are also a problem.

bro in america people the way they are becuase they choose to be that way...
freedom is not even an option in pakistan...
the army and government does literally whatever they want..... no personal freedom, no economic freedom, no justice in front of the law.... that is unless you are a millionaire... prove me wrong bud.

Brother you are materialistic and translate gains into love. If there are no gains or benefits from a person, you don`t bother paying regards to him or her.

Our Prophet( PBUH) has said:
(حب الوطن من الايمان)
Translation: "Love for one’s homeland is part of faith."

If you don`t feel love for Pakistan, it`s possible you are not a Pakistani but only related to Pakistan through your parents. So please don`t puzzle yourself if you are not a Pakistani patriot. Your query is misplaced.
ok bro you convinced me... now i will not say anything and go about my business becuase you want basic freedoms , equality , justice is a bad thing right??? its against islam??? and it makes me materialistic?? are you ok in the head?
