Few questions I have that really have started to bother me and I want other people’s opinion:
-What is there to be proud of?
-What has pakistan done for its average citizens?
-pakistan seems like its been a play ground for a handful of elite families that probably number in few 100?
-Why are you loyal to Pakistan?
Few thoughts:

I used to be a very proud and anti Indian and highly patriotic Pakistani.
over the past several years I am starting to feel like Pakistan is a sham and a fraud..it might’ve had noble beginnings but Pakistan has never been a country that has been able to provide justice to a ordinary Pakistani citizen for its entire existence without the following ( not justice just a way to make their miserable life’s better)
- a phone call To some elitist or an elitist goon.
- bribe
I do not see Pakistan changing for the the better unless a major uprising by its peasant class the 99.9999 percent whos only purpose is to be born and live a miserable live and die including members of my own family...

im not Indian, I was born in Pakistan raised in America.

add on
The average Pakistani is born into a miserable existence, lives his live without ever reaching his or her potential and dies never doing anything or being able to achieve anything becuase they are hostages of this state that only caters to the elite.
Nobody can prove this above statement wrong

We always ask what has our country done for us, never what have we done for it. Just remember how this country came into being, we owe it, it doesn't owe us.

. . .
Bro few simple questions if you can answer these to your ownself then might have the answer of the question you have asked

Are you ashamed of your existence or proud of your existence .... ??
You associate yourself to what state of existence .... ???
Do you blame yourself for the wrongdoing of wrong ones or you do right thing for right causes ???

Just think on those lines you will have the answer of your question as well .....

.
Because it is my soil... and my soul..
My ancestors are buried here, its rivers have given us life.. its soil has given us shelter and freedom.
Because my ancestors, my family have given blood for this soil.. because I love its mountains, its lush green plains, its deserts, its majestic rivers and lakes.. its people are my kin.
I dont need any reason to love the Pakistani soil..

And I was born, raised and will be buried here.. while you have lived your life in US, your and our worlds are different.

The questions he raised are true for most of the world .. including america..

Do we not see a few Americans controlling their economy while homeless are sleeping in parking lots?
Do we not see racism? How the black boy Ahmaud was shot and it took months and a viral video to even arrest the culprits?
Do we not see wealth inequality and the pathetic american med system ?

Every country has flaws... what matters is what you make of yourself and what you do to better the conditions for yourself and your people.

I swear to God, I do hate Pakistanis sometimes.. but never this country.. sometimes when i travel (alot) my eyes fill with tears when I see the beauty of this country..

Brother no country is perfect. If you compare all the countries with Pakistan, we are still better than many but you are right way too much corruption and injustice.
Pakistan is our identity and as men we should strive to make our country as we envision it to be.

Btw it's good to see you back.

I wasn't as patriotic before. I was a regular burger kid. But seeing the state of Muslims in India since the past 5 years and the fact that 3 of my grandparents came from India, it just gave me a newfound appreciation for this country. It took so many sacrifices of our elders for us to live in freedom. It shouldn't be taken for granted

first of all there is not much of peasant class in pakistan secondly the system is so powerful that almost no change in it is possible what to say a revolution. Our intelligence agencies shall report any of such activity and shall be dealt with accordingly as was the case with Manzoor Pashteen and his rascals . These type of reactions are justified as proven by Sheikh Mujeeb and his Awami league supporters and only after 1971 have we realised that there must be a party with absolute authority to prevent lawlessness and with the powers to remove any one with rebellious or anti state views.
however the basic rights of citizens as offered by the constitution must be fulfilled but it must be done not by a rebellion or an uprising but by reforms in the qualifications of peoples representatives and harsh penalties against those who neglect their duties and misuse their power

If the measure of patriotism was "what ur country has done for u" and the myriad of injustices...then 99% of the ppl wouldn't feel patriotic to their respective countries.

That's not what patriotism is...
...it is a sense of inexplicable love and duty u feel to ur country. If something is wrong with the justice system...or the government is corrupt...u fault THAT institution. U try to do everything in ur power to FIX it...to make it better for ur countrymen and to leave it better than how u found it for the next generation. That's what a true patriot does...it's not just about joining the army and dying for ur country...
...joining other institutions(bureaucracy, politics, judiciary, or in a private capacity like a teacher for example)...and doing ur part to make ur country better(e.g. not taking a bribe to do ur job) is also patriotism. These are lifelong battles that are not fought on the frontlines...but are rather fought within. This is how nations achieve greatness...it's due to countless unsung heroes who worked earnestly for generations...that is patriotism.

OP ask Indian muslims now and watch what happening to them then you will get all of your answers.:pakistan::usflag::cheesy::pop:
So does that justify what’s happening in Pakistan?? My friend I will post just a few videos and you will see what is really pakistan.. I chose to ignore these things because of my bias before.

We always ask what has our country done for us, never what have we done for it.
that’s a great line to fool people..... 70 years after Pakistan was created.
All countries take birth from chaos. There were many countries born around the same time as Pakistan and many countries who were much poorer then Pakistan but they are developed and thriving today and their citizens have “basic” writes like being able to criticize a judge without being thrown in jail.

Just remember how this country came into being, we owe it, it doesn't owe us.
I would definitely say this is pakistan was created 10-15 years ago..
But the poor souls who died and created this country have mostly passed away and their kids have grown up in this and and are also passing away of old age, sickness and poverty.
The people who created Pakistan didn’t expect their kids to be 70 years old and still living in extreme poverty and injustice......

You are crazy
I just hope people wake and start smelling the coffee....
I don’t have an agenda as of now just questions nor am I able to even do anything so don’t they “intelligence” agencies on me . Becuase I know the basic right of free speech does not exist in Pakistan.

what is the problem ?

No problem

All 4 of grandparents came from shithole India. Seeing the state of Muslims in India I'm forever grateful to MA Jinnah for giving us this country and my grandparents for crossing over, otherwise my family and I would have been one of those millions suffering at the hands of the Hindutva filths.

That is sufficient for me to patriotic about Pakistan

You seem to have developed anxiety and depression related issues, this uni-directional negative line of thinking is a classic sign of these psychological issues.
