Isis-K - or to give it its more accurate name, Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) - is the regional affiliate of Isis (or so-called Islamic State) that is active in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
It is the most extreme and violent of all the jihadist militant groups in Afghanistan.
It was set up in January 2015 at the height of IS' power in Iraq and Syria, before its self-declared caliphate was defeated and dismantled by a US-led coalition.
It recruits from both Afghan and Pakistani jihadists, especially defecting members of the Afghan Taliban who don't see their own organisation as extreme enough.
How extreme is extreme?

Isis-K have been blamed for some of the worst atrocities in recent years, targeting girls' schools, hospitals and even a maternity ward where they reportedly shot dead pregnant women and nurses.
Unlike the Taliban, whose interest is confined to Afghanistan, Isis-K are part of the global IS network that seeks to carry out attacks on western, international and humanitarian targets wherever they can reach them.

Where are they located?
Isis-K are based in the eastern province of Nangarhar, close to drug- and people-smuggling routes in and out of Pakistan.
At its height the group numbered about 3,000 fighters - but has suffered significant casualties in clashes with both the US and Afghan security forces, and also with the Taliban.
Are they linked to the Taliban?
Peripherally yes, via a third party, the Haqqani network.
According to researchers, there are strong links between Isis-K and the Haqqani network, which in turn is closely linked to the Taliban.
The man now in charge of security in Kabul is Khalil Haqqani who has had a $5m (£3.6m) bounty on his head.
Dr Sajjan Gohel from the Asia Pacific Foundation has been monitoring the militant networks in Afghanistan for years.

He says "several major attacks between 2019 and 2021 involved collaboration between Isis-K, the Taliban's Haqqani network and other terror groups based in Pakistan".
When the Taliban took over Kabul on 15 August, the group released large numbers of prisoners from Pul-e-Charki jail, reportedly including IS and al-Qaeda militants. These people are now at large.
But ISIS-K have major differences with the Taliban, accusing them of abandoning Jihad and the battlefield in favour of a negotiated peace settlement hammered out in "posh hotels" in Doha, Qatar.
IS militants now represent a major security challenge for the incoming Taliban government, something the Taliban leadership shares in common with western intelligence agencies.

.
it is high time for two major actions in order to avoid the at least 3000 more bomb blast coming soon in Afghanistan.
First Taliban must declare the Emirate over the territory of Afghanistan. accept the ba'a of the Afghani people. then Taliban must declare jihad on the khawarij of ISISK and wip them of the face of the earth.
Sayiduna Ali Bnu Abi Taleb did not lock them up in prisons, he killed them.
never lock an ISISK up. just hung in on a tree.
Pakistan must assist Taliban with weoponery and intelligence.
Secondly, ISIS can revive itself in places were there is chaos like Yemen and Africa .. those places will soon witness the withdrawal of the US. that's why The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan MUST GO GLOBAL .
the IEA must support a Muslim global armed body fighting against the evil khawarij of ISIS, you know what I mean

To understand this, you will have to listen to old lectures of Dr.Israr Ahmed

And Can any one guess who was their biggest supporter in Islamabad?

TTP is Indian proxy

Funded by CIA and Mossad.
According to Taliban, its an outside phenomenon introduced in Afghanistan by the enemies of Islam.

Pakistan to the rescue Again.
Pakistan now won't be pressured by the US to catch Al Qaeda or Taliban ...
ISISK is doing a big favor to India
that's why Pakistan should go all in and assist Taliban in fighting evil ISISK

evil daesh khawarij claim that they are the black flags.
but they forgot that Al Qaeda has had a black flag too and where are they now.
Also the Iranians Shia have a black flag of their sect.
they r willing to kill everything exept the jews . we never seen a suicide bomber hit israel .
they even claim Taliban and Hamas are kuffars !!
just because you have a black flag you can't force destiny or create it .
they put themselves in the place of Allah waliazu billah. this is going too far.
The correct hadit says that dajjal comes out from the east and that the first people who follow him is the khawarij.
its only justice for the innocent blood that they have spilled that they would be decieved into following dajjal somehow.
just look at how Taliban granted amnesty and forgive everyone whilst muslim blood thirsty khawarij vamps kill everything 5 days after they got out of prison.

Also from India, especially from the southern state of Kerala.

that's why The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan MUST GO GLOBAL .

 So where will those Afghans now exiting Afghanistan or going underground or living in misery, go to ? These people certainly don't want to live in the glorious "Islamic" Emirate of Afghanistan.

I mean that IEA must unite with Pakistan under some military coop pact and declare a form of global responsability over the muslim world against the daesh threat.
because now we know US is weak. if they dont fill the void that is about to be in the muslim world, chaos will reign and ISIS virus will spread.
the IEA must Accept Allegiance from the muslims and then they must be capable of Arming anti isis group like the free syrian army ...

1. The "Free Syrian Army" and associated groups are basically Al Qaeda, tens of thousands of criminals from all over the world, who all were as appropriate created, trained, funded, armed and given political legitimacy by Western governments because the progressive, Socialist government of Bashar al Assad is as much an ideological enemy of the Western governments as of those non-government criminals rampaging through Syria for ten years now. In fact some years ago Taliban fighters were air lifted by US air force to the battle fields of Syria to help the anti-Assad fighters.

2. You live in Morocco. Will your neighbor, Algeria, be any part of any Taliban-led alliance ? Why did the 40+ NATO-led alliance attack Socialist Libya in 2011 along with thousands of non-government criminals and why in 2011 and 2012 Jamahiriya-governance and fighters from Libya go to Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt instead of Morocco ?

3. The Taliban in Pakistan ( TTP ) are ideologically the same to the Afghan Taliban. Will the sensible Pakistanis, including women, want the TTP to rule Pakistan ?

4. The so-called Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is anything but Islamic.

5. ISIS / DAESH has as much killed Syrian government security forces as has FSA etc.

6. ISIS is not much different to the Taliban in outlook to life. Any fighting between them is infighting. Also, the Taliban is satisfied mostly being within the confines of Afghanistan.

7. Muslims all over the world should again learn about progress from the Socialist and Communist activism among Muslims that has existed since the early 1900s. Since you are on a Pakistani-owned and mostly Pakistani moderated forum you should ask the Pakistanis here about the Pakistani Socialist poet and activist Faiz Ahmed Faiz.

the IEA must Accept Allegiance from the muslims and then they must be capable of Arming anti isis group like the free syrian army

Global Muslims should pledge allegiance to the progressives among them instead of pledging to criminals like FSA.
